Gislum Parish () is a parish located in Vesthimmerland Municipality within the Diocese of Viborg. Until the 1970 Danish Municipal Reform, the parish was a municipal region within Gislum Herred in Aalborg County The town within the parish once had a grocery store and two schools, all of which closed had closed by 1980. In 1432 there was something called Gislum call and it was because the prist of Gislum was in control over Vognsild, Svingelbjerg and Farsø parish. Socken
Socken is the name used for a part of a county in Sweden. In Denmark similar areas are known as ''sogn'', in Norway ''sokn'' or ''sogn'' and in Finland ''pitäjä'' ''(socken)''. Jens Bigum
Jens Jørgen Bigum (born 28 July 1938) is a Danish business executive and former CEO of Arla Foods. Bigum is a graduate of the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in 1965 and earned his "Handelshøjskolernes erhvervsøkonomiske diplomuddannelsein" (roughly translated as "Business Economics Diploma") in organization in 1970. After graduating, he was appointed as a deputy head of Oxexport Executive in Axelborg, In 1970 he joined the dairy company MD Foods as an organization manager. In 1972 he became CFO and in 1987 he became a member of the Group Management. He became Deputy Director in 1989 and Managing Director in 1992. Under his leadership, the company merged twice - first in 1998 with Kløver Mælk, then in 2000 with the Swedish Arla company. After the merge with Swedish Arla, he became the first CEO of the new company, Arla Foods. He retired in 2004. He has also been Vice President of Carlsberg. Farsø
Farsø is a town with a population of 3,349 (1 January 2022) in Region Nordjylland in Denmark in the Vesthimmerland Municipality. Farsø was the birthplace of Johannes Vilhelm Jensen, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1944. The village of Vognsild is located to the west of Farsø. Farsø is also called one of the head cities of Vesthimmerland Municipality along with Aars, Løgstør and Aalestrup. Aalborg County
Aalborg County () is a former province in Denmark, located in north-eastern Jutland around the eastern approach to the Limfjord. 1970 Danish Municipal Reform
The 1970 Danish Municipal Reform was an extensive administrative reform in Denmark which on 1 April 1970 reduced the number of Danish municipalities from 1,098 to 277 and the number of counties from 25 to 14. The reform also abolished the last legal privileges of the market towns ( sing. Danish: ''købstad''). The 1970 reform was followed by another municipal reform in 2007, namely the Structure Reform. This reform would further reduce the number of municipalities in Denmark, and replace the counties with regions. Statistics Denmark
Statistics Denmark ( da, Danmarks Statistik) is a Danish governmental organization under the Ministry of the Interior and Housing and which reports to the Minister of Economic and Internal Affairs. The organization is responsible for creating statistics on the Danish society, for example employment statistics, trade balance, and demographics. Statistics Denmark makes large use of public registers in the statistical production. Population censuses have been produced entirely from registers since 1981. StatBank is a large statistical database maintained by the central authority of statistics in Denmark.
