Aalborg County
Aalborg County () is a former province in Denmark, located in north-eastern Jutland around the eastern approach to the Limfjord. Aalborg County was established in 1793 and abolished in 1970 when it merged with Hjørring County forming the new North Jutland County.'' Trap Danmark'', vol. 3, 3rd edn. History The region belonged to Himmersyssel during the Middle Ages, with the exception of Kær Herred - located north of the Limfjord - which belonged to Vendsyssel. In 1542, the north Jutland region was reorganised as Aalborghus Len. This province was divided in 1662 forming Aalborghus County and Aastrup, Sejlstrup and Børglum County. The latter province was divided again in 1793 with the bulk of its territory being reorganized as Hjørring County. Smaller parts of the province became parts of the counties of Thisted and Aalborg. Aalborg Municipality

Nørresundby
Nørresundby () is a city in Aalborg Municipality, north of Limfjorden, in Vendsyssel, in Denmark. The urban area has a population of 23,718 (1 January 2021). It is located just north of Aalborg, which lies south of Limfjorden. Statistically its own urban area since 2006, it is often still considered part of Aalborg, sometimes the name Greater Aalborg (''Stor-Aalborg'') is used to describe the concept. The city is connected to Aalborg by Limfjordsbroen, which is a road bridge, and an iron railway bridge, as well as a motorway (E45) passing it to the east and running under the Limfjord. Nørresundby is the site of the Lindholm Høje settlement and burial ground from the Germanic Iron Age and Viking times. There is also a museum on the site. Løgstør
Løgstør is a town in Denmark with a population of 3,967 (1 January 2022) It is located 47 km west of Aalborg and 64 km north of Viborg. Løgstør's city centre consists of old streets with small houses built in the 1800s for fishermen and sailors. One of these houses was donated by Danish housemen to the author and poet Johan Skjoldborg (1861 - 1936) in 1918, who lived in the house until his death. It is located on Johan Skjoldborgs Vej. History The name ''Løgstør ''is mentioned for the first time in 1514, where the city is described as a fishing village. Thisted County
Thisted County ( da, Thisted Amt) is a former province in Denmark, located on the north-westernmost part of the country It encompassed the westernmost part of the island of Vendsyssel-Thy. It was dissolved in 1970 when the bulk of it was merged into Viborg County while other regions joined the counties of Ringkjøbing and North Jutland. Aalborghus County
Aalborghus Castle ( da, Aalborghus Slot) is a castle in Aalborg, Denmark. It is a half-timbered (''bindingsværk'') castle built by King Christian III from 1539 to around 1555 initially as a fortification. A building had existed at the site before Christian III's castle. It stood south of the castle and is mentioned in the first documentation of Aalborghus, dating back to 1340. It was owned by Margrethe I and was the death place of King Hans in 1513 who died in a horse riding accident. King Frederik I had originally intended to destroy the initial building around 1530 and moving to a different site to convert Aalborg's Franciscan monastery into a castle. However he left the decision to his son Christian III, who later decided to demolish the original in 1539 and contracted the royal architect Morten Bussert to build a new fortified castle north of the old site, near the Limfjord.
