Gislum had an old grocery store in Gislum, that worked as both a farm and a grocery store. Closed in 1980. The old school in Gislum. In folkemony it is called just for the red school. Was closed in 1967 and sold to private. The White School, which has served as a school. It was closed in the early 1970s. Gislum Parish () is a parish located in Vesthimmerland Municipality within the Diocese of Viborg. Until the 1970 Danish Municipal Reform, the parish was a municipal region within Gislum Herred in Aalborg County The town within the parish once had a grocery store and two schools, all of which closed had closed by 1980. Jens Bigum
Jens Jørgen Bigum (born 28 July 1938) is a Danish business executive and former CEO of Arla Foods. Bigum is a graduate of the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in 1965 and earned his "Handelshøjskolernes erhvervsøkonomiske diplomuddannelsein" (roughly translated as "Business Economics Diploma") in organization in 1970. After graduating, he was appointed as a deputy head of Oxexport Executive in Axelborg, In 1970 he joined the dairy company MD Foods as an organization manager. In 1972 he became CFO and in 1987 he became a member of the Group Management. He became Deputy Director in 1989 and Managing Director in 1992. Under his leadership, the company merged twice - first in 1998 with Kløver Mælk, then in 2000 with the Swedish Arla company. After the merge with Swedish Arla, he became the first CEO of the new company, Arla Foods. He retired in 2004. He has also been Vice President of Carlsberg. Regions Of Denmark
The five Regions of Denmark ( da, regioner) were created as administrative entities at a level above the municipalities and below the central government in the public sector as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, when the 13 counties ('' amter'') were abolished. At the same time, the number of municipalities ('' kommuner'') was cut from 270 to 98. The reform was approved and made into a law by the lawmakers in the Folketing 26 June 2005 with elections to the 98 municipalities and 5 regions being held Tuesday 15 November 2005. Each region is governed by a popularly elected regional council with 41 members, from whom the regional chairperson is chosen. The main responsibility of the regions is healthcare. Central Denmark Region
The Central Denmark Region ( da, Region Midtjylland), or more directly translated as the Central Jutland Region and sometimes simply Mid Jutland, is an administrative region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish municipal reform. The reform abolished the traditional counties (''amter'') and replaced them with five new administrative regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the total number of municipalities from 271 to 98. Vesthimmerland Municipality or Vesthimmerlandøs Municipality is a municipality ( da, kommune) in the North Jutland Region in Denmark. It covers an area of 768,08 km² (2013) and has a total population of 38,277 inhabitants (2008). Farsø
Farsø is a town with a population of 3,349 (1 January 2022) in Region Nordjylland in Denmark in the Vesthimmerland Municipality. Farsø was the birthplace of Johannes Vilhelm Jensen, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1944. The village of Vognsild is located to the west of Farsø. Farsø is also called one of the head cities of Vesthimmerland Municipality along with Aars, Løgstør and Aalestrup.
