Girka
Girka (Arabic and Ajami غرك) is a village in Kaita Local Government Katsina State, Nigeria. The word 'Girka' in Hausa may literally mean 'to base (something on).' It may also mean 'the spiritual activities of Bori.' The latter meaning has nothing to do with Girka village etymologically nor historically. Girka 'Sauri' is the title of Maigari (the Village Head). This title is derived from a Hausa word 'hasten' (to move or travel hurriedly). There was Sauri Isa who ruled between 1945 and 1984 and now his son has been leading the traditional affairs of the village for nearly four decades. Centuries after its establishment, there are still several historical sites in Girka such as a magic tree, which people around it believe it has some jinns that can frighten anyone who dares go near it at noon. Kaita, Nigeria
Kaita is a local government area in Katsina State, Nigeria, sharing a border in the north with the Republic of Niger. Its headquarters are in the town of Kaita. Its current Transitions Committee Chairman, Engineer Bello Lawal Yandaki, has been running the affairs of the local government since his inauguration along with other 33 transitions committee chairmen of the 34 local government areas of the state in August 2018 by Katsina state governor Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari. Ajami Script
Ajami ( ar, عجمي, ) or Ajamiyya ( ar, عجمية, ), which comes from the Arabic root for ''foreign'' or ''stranger'', is an Arabic-derived script used for writing African languages, particularly those of Mandé, Hausa and Swahili, although many other African languages are written using the script, including Yoruba, Mooré, and Pulaar. Katsina State
