Gerry Norquist
Gerry Norquist (born May 29, 1962) is an American professional golfer. Norquist was born in Portland, Oregon and turned professional relatively late at the age of 26. He played most of his tournament golf in Asia, predominantly on the Asian Tour where he won five titles, and later on the Japan Golf Tour. His five wins on the Asian Tour are the most for an American. His biggest win came in 1999 at the European Tour co-sanctioned Benson and Hedges Malaysian Open, which gave him a two-year exemption on that tour. Norquist maintained his links with the Asian Tour and was appointed senior vice president in 2006. He was active on the European Seniors Tour in 2012; playing in 14 events, making the cut 12 times. His best finish was a tie for 6th at the Taiwan-based Fubon Senior Open. The 1995 Asian PGA Tour, titled as the 1995 Omega Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the inaugural season of the Asian PGA Tour, one of the main professional golf tours in Asia (outside of Japan) alongside the long established Asia Golf Circuit. Eric Meeks
Eric Meeks (born January 15, 1965) is an American professional golfer. Meeks won the 1988 U.S. Amateur. He played in the 1988 Eisenhower Trophy and in the 1989 Walker Cup match. He played his college golf for the Arizona Wildcats. Meeks later turned professional and played on the Nike Tour/Nationwide Tour, where he had two runner-up finishes: 2001 Siouxland Open and 2002 Price Cutter Charity Championship. He also played on the Asian PGA Tour, finishing 8th on the Order of Merit in 1999. Volvo Asian Matchplay
The Asian Matchplay Championship was a professional match play golf tournament. It was the season ending event in each of the first four seasons of the Omega Tour, now known as the Asian Tour. It also included a pairs competition, the Hugo Boss Foursomes, played using the alternate shot format. It was hosted at a different venue every season. After the inaugural event, which was played in January, it was held in December each season. The tournament was sponsored by Volvo between 1996 and 1998, when it was titled as the Volvo Asian Matchplay. Mike Cunning
Michael Cunning (born July 30, 1958) is an American professional golfer. Early life Cunning was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He played collegiately at the University of Arizona. Professional career In 1980, Cunning turned professional. He played on the PGA Tour in 1984, making only one cut in 16 events. He played again on the Tour in 1992 after finishing T13 at the 1991 Q-school. In 1992, he made 11 cuts in 30 events with one top 10 finish and lost his tour card by finishing 165th on the money list. He played on the Nike Tour in 1993, makin 14 cuts in 23 events with two top 10 finishes. He has played only sparingly in the U.S. since then. Cunning has played in Asia since 1981, and has been a regular on the Asian Tour since it began in its modern form in 1995. In 1997 he topped the Order of Merit with earnings of US$170,619, despite a best tournament finish of second place. John Senden
John Gerard Senden (born 20 April 1971) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Senden was born in Brisbane, Queensland and turned pro in 1992. Senden has played all over the world. He is a regular competitor on the PGA Tour of Australasia and has spent time playing in Asia. In Europe he won twice on the second tier Challenge Tour in 1998 and was a member of the main European Tour from 1999 to 2001. In 2002, Senden joined the PGA Tour in the United States, after coming through the qualifying school in 2001. During his first year on tour he successfully kept his playing status with eight top-25 finishes in 30 events.
