Georgia In The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016
Georgia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 which took place on 20 November 2016, in Valletta, Malta. Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Mariam Mamadashvili was internally selected to represent Georgia with the song " Mzeo". Georgia won the contest with 239 points. Background Prior to the 2016 Contest, Georgia had participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest nine times since its debut in . They have never missed an edition of the contest, and have won twice at the , and contests. Mariam Mamadashvili ( ka, მარიამ მამადაშვილი, born 16 November 2005) is a Georgian singer. She won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 where she represented Georgia with the song "Mzeo". She moved to the United States in 2015. Biography Mamadashvili has been performing since she was four years old. She studied at the Bzikebistudio in Georgia and also the Evgeni Mikeladze State Central Music School. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 was the thirteenth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and took place, for the first time, in Bulgaria. She won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015, where she represented Malta in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015, Malta with the song "Not My Soul". The Junior Eurovision Song Contest (often shortened to JESC, Junior Eurovision or Junior EuroSong) is an international song competition which has been organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) annually since 2003. Christer Samuel Björkman (; born 25 August 1957) is a Swedish singer and television producer. He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 with the song "I morgon är en annan dag". From 2002 to 2021, he served as a producer of Melodifestivalen, and remained an important figure in Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest.
