Georgia Hale (born 9 August 1995) is a New Zealand rugby league footballer who plays for the Gold Coast Titans in the NRLW. Primarily a , she is vice-captain of the New Zealand Test team. Background A Richmond Roses junior, Hale represented New Zealand in touch and tag football before switching to rugby league. Playing career In 2014, she was a member of the New Zealand squad for their three-game series against Australia at the 2014 NRL Auckland Nines. On 3 May 2015, she made her Test debut for New Zealand, coming off the bench in a 14–22 loss to Australia at Suncorp Stadium. On 6 May 2016, she was named Player of the Match in New Zealand's 26–16 ANZAC Test win over Australia. On 16 September 2016, she was named New Zealand Player of the Year at the RLPA Players' Champion awards in Sydney. 2021 Women's Rugby League World Cup
The 2021 Women's Rugby League World Cup was the sixth staging of the Women's Rugby League World Cup, and was be one of three major tournaments part of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup. The tournament was held in England from 1 November to 19 November 2022. Originally planned for 2021, it was delayed a year along with the Men's and Wheelchair tournaments due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament featured eight teams, an increase of two from the previous tournament. For the first time the tournament had parity with the men's and wheelchair tournaments with all participants being paid the same while all 61 matches across three tournaments will be broadcast live. QRL Women's Premiership
The QRL Women's Premiership, known as the BMD Premiership due to sponsorship from BMD Group, is the top level of women's rugby league football in Queensland, Australia. Run by the Queensland Rugby League, the competition is Queensland's first statewide open age women's competition. On 3 March 2021, the QRL announced that the Souths Logan Magpies would not compete in that season's premiership but planned to return in 2022. Valkyries Queensland, a new team made up of players from Souths Logan and other Queensland teams, were named to take their place. The Tweed Heads Seagulls, often referred to simply as Tweed or Seagulls or Tweed Seagulls, is a rugby league club based in Tweed Heads, New South Wales. It is one of only two non-Queensland teams to play in the Queensland Cup, along with the PNG Hunters. The 2019 Rugby League World Cup 9s was the first staging of the Rugby League World Cup 9s tournament and took place on 18 and 19 October 2019 at Sydney's Bankwest Stadium.
