Georges Messi
Georges Parfait Mbida Messi (born 8 December 1980) is a Cameroonian former footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Born in Yaoundé, Messi started playing professionally with hometown clubs Tonnerre Yaoundé and Canon Yaoundé, having a spell abroad in between with Çaykur Rizespor. He featured scarcely during the 2000–01 season, as the Turkish Süper Lig team finished in ninth position. After leaving Canon, Messi played in Belgium with K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen, but featured very rarely for the Pro League side. After a few months in Qatar he moved to Portugal, signing for S.C. Olhanense of the Segunda Liga and appearing in an average of 12 games in his first two seasons. Yaoundé
Yaoundé (; , ) is the capital of Cameroon and, with a population of more than 2.8 million, the second-largest city in the country after the port city Douala. It lies in the Centre Region of the nation at an elevation of about 750 metres (2,500 ft) above sea level. The outpost of Epsumb or Jeundo was founded between the Nyong and Sanaga rivers at the northern edge of the area's forests in 1887 by German explorers as a trading base for rubber and ivory. A military garrison was built in 1895 which enabled further colonization. After Imperial Germany's defeat in World War I, France held eastern Cameroon as a mandate, and Yaoundé was chosen to become the capital of the colony in 1922. Girabola, or ''Campeonato Nacional de Futebol em Séniores Masculinos'', is the top division of Angolan football. It is organized by the Angolan Football Federation. The league winner and runner-up qualify for the CAF Champions League. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
