Geoff Hayes
Geoffrey Philip Hayes (19 January 1933 – 9 September 1994) was an Australian politician. He was born in Melbourne to advertising agent George Hayes and Elsie Irene, and attended school at Murrumbeena and Dandenong. He studied at Melbourne University part-time and became an advertising agent. On 1 September 1956 he married Margaret Lane, with whom he had three sons. In 1967 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly for Scoresby Scoresby may refer to: People * William Scoresby (1789–1857), British Arctic explorer, scientist and clergyman * William F. Murrumbeena, Victoria
Murrumbeena is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 13 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Glen Eira local government area. Murrumbeena recorded a population of 9,996 at the 2021 census. Murrumbeena is a small suburban area with extensive parklands and a rich artistic heritage. The Electoral district of Wantirna was an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It was first created after the Electoral district of Scoresby was abolished in 1976. Geoff Hayes was the last member for Scoresby in its first incarnation, and the first for Wantirna. After the 2002 redistribution, the electorate was replaced, once again returning as the Electoral district of Scoresby. The last member of Wantirna, Kim Wells was also the first member for Scoresby, in its second incarnation. Don Saltmarsh
Donald Neville Saltmarsh (6 April 1934 – 3 November 2006) was an Australian politician. He was born at Rutherglen to schoolteacher Maxwell Ronald Saltmarsh and Winifred Jeanie Shore. He was educated at Warragul, and received a Diploma of Agriculture from Longerong Agricultural College in 1954 before studying at Melbourne University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1959. From 1959 he was a Methodist minister, first at Williamstown, then at Lindisfarne in Tasmania (1960–64), Fitzroy (1965–69) and the Wesley Central Mission in Melbourne (1970–71). On 14 March 1959 he married Ariel Alder Keen, with whom he had four children. He had joined the Labor Party in 1967, but in 1971 moved to the Liberal Party. In 1976 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council for Waverley.
