General Eugenio A. Garay
General Eugenio Alejandrino Garay, colloquially known as Garay, is a district in the Guairá Department of Paraguay. It is located approximately from Asunción, the capital of Paraguay. It originally belonged to the Caazapá Department but was transferred to Guairá due to its large area. It was established as a municipality by Law No. 260 on June 23, 1955. The district is accessible via Route PY08 and is situated south of the city of Villarrica, Paraguay, Villarrica, passing through the city of Ñumí. Within Garay's area lies Cerro Tres Kandú, which at above sea level is the List of elevation extremes by country, highest point in Paraguay. Its inhabitants mainly engage in livestock activities and the district also has plywood factories. Caazapá Department
Caazapá () is a department in Paraguay. The capital is the city of Caazapá. Among Paraguayans, the department is well known for its orange and mandarin trees, and for its forest hills. The eastern part of Caazapá is relatively undeveloped and consists of rolling hills and large swaths of Brazilian Atlantic interior rainforest between the San Rafael mountains to the south and the Ybytyruzú mountains to the north. The western part is an area of low-lying marshes and swampland area, and consists of wetlands and tributaries to eastern Paraguay's largest river, the Tebicuary. Villarrica del Espíritu Santo (), is a city in Paraguay. Located in the middle of the Oriental Region of the Paraguayan territory, it is the capital of the Guairá Department. Ñumí
Ñumí (Guaraní: ''Ñumi'') is a district of the Guairá Department, Paraguay. Is located to the south of the city of Villarrica, the capital of the department, and to the east of the San Salvador district. Is connected to both by wide roads. Cerro Tres Kandú
Cerro Tres Kandú (Tres Kandu in the Guaraní language) is the highest point in Paraguay, with an elevation of 842 meters (2,762 ft). It is located in the municipality of General Eugenio Garay, Guairá Department, in a hill range named Ybytyruzú. This hill was important for the Armed Forces of Paraguay because it was a strategic location to place the army repeater or radio-link for their communication. The Aché ( ) are an indigenous peoples of the Americas, indigenous people of Paraguay. They are hunter-gatherers living in eastern Paraguay.
