Geldermalsen is a railway station in the town of Geldermalsen, Netherlands. The station opened on 1 Nov 1868. The station is a junction, with an island platform for easy transfers. To reach the platforms from outside of the station, passengers must use a bridge. The current building dates from 1884. The station is at the junction of two lines: the Utrecht–Boxtel railway and the Elst–Dordrecht railway. The station is currently served by trains from Qbuzz and NS. The Utrecht–Boxtel railway is an important railway in the Netherlands running from Utrecht Centraal station to Boxtel station, passing through Geldermalsen station and 's-Hertogenbosch station. Elst–Dordrecht Railway
The Elst–Dordrecht railway is a railway line in the Netherlands running from Elst to Dordrecht, passing through Tiel, Geldermalsen and Gorinchem. It is also called the ''Betuwelijn'' (Batavia line). MerwedeLingelijn is the name of the western part between Dordrecht and Geldermalsen, which is operated by Qbuzz. Tiel - Elst as part of the service Tiel - Arnhem is operated by Arriva and Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS) operates Geldermalsen - Tiel as part of the service Utrecht - Tiel. The railway connects to the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway in Elst. There were two connections to the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway in the past from the junction near Vork station; one to Elst and towards Nijmegen connecting near Ressen. The Nijmegen junction was used until 1990 and torn down during construction of the Betuweroute in order of creating a junction between the Betuweroute from Rotterdam and the Arnhem–Nijmegen railway towards both Arnhem and Nijmegen. s-Hertogenbosch () is a railway station located in 's-Hertogenbosch in North Brabant, Netherlands. The station and all services operating from it are run by Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the national Dutch train operating company. History 's-Hertogenbosch station opened on 1 November 1868 as the northern terminus of the southern part of the Utrecht–Boxtel railway (''Staatslijn H''), with service south to Boxtel. Only in 1870 were the two parts of Line H joined, allowing for direct service to Utrecht Centraal. Geldermalsen () is a town and former municipality in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands.
