Gazi Golam Mostafa
Gazi Golam Mostafa (died 19 January 1981) was a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a former member of the East Pakistan provincial assembly. He was nicknamed the "Lord of the Bastis". ("Basti" means "slum" in Bengali.) Career Mostafa was a former president and general secretary of the Dhaka city Awami league. He was a close associate of Sheikh Mujib, the first president of Bangladesh, and often said to be his right-hand man. He was a former chairman of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and the former President of Awami League's Dhaka city unit. As President of Awami League's Dhaka City Unit, he and then Treasurer of Dhaka Metropolitan Awami League, R.K Chowdhury spoke about organizational activities of the city, how can it be better and where was the problem. Ajmer
Ajmer is one of the major and oldest cities in the Indian state of Rajasthan and the centre of the eponymous Ajmer District. It is located at the centre of Rajasthan. Sheikh Kamal
Sheikh Kamal (5 August 1949 – 15 August 1975) was the eldest son of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, former President of Bangladesh and the younger brother of Sheikh Hasina, the current Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Early life and education Kamal completed his matriculation from Shaheen School, Dhaka in 1967 and Higher Secondary Certificate Examination from Dhaka College in 1969. He was the General Secretary of the Chatro League in Dhaka College. He practiced sitar at Chhayanaut, a school of music. Jatiya Rakkhi Bahini
The Jatiya Rakkhi Bahini ( bn, জাতীয় রক্ষী বাহিনী, lit=National Defense Force) was a Bangladeshi para-military force formed in 1972 by the Sheikh Mujibur Rahman government. Initially formed to curb the insurgency and maintain law and order the force became involved in numerous charges of human rights abuse including political killings, shooting by death squads, and rape. It was seen as the armed wing of the ruling Awami League and it swore an oath of loyalty to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Dhaka Ladies Club is a club for "elite" women in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Jahanara Munnan is the present president of the club. History The club was opened in 1951 by a selected number of "elite" women. The founder of the club was Shamsia Shahbuddin who was the wife of the then Chief Justice' of East Pakistan Justice Shahabuddin.
