Gary Odgers
Gary Odgers (born 15 December 1959) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). St Kilda career Odgers came to the VFL from Ballarat club Golden Point and was used in a variety of roles by St Kilda, but mostly as a defender. He first broke into the side in 1981, playing five games that year. In 1982 he appeared in the first 17 rounds of the season, before losing his spot in the team with a shoulder injury. Over the next four seasons he was a regular fixture in the St Kilda team and probably had his best year in 1985 when he got eight Brownlow Medal votes, the only time he ever featured in the count. David Hart (born 3 March 1964) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with West Coast in the AFL. Although he was born in Victoria he was brought up in the West Australian town of Bruce Rock. He played seven games for West Perth, followed by 55 games with South Fremantle before being recruited by West Coast. A rover come defender, Hart played in West Coast's inaugural VFL side in 1987. Danny Craven
Danny Craven (born 3 May 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda Football Club, St Kilda and the Brisbane Bears in the Australian Football League, Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL). Playing as a rover, Craven, played in the opening four fixtures of the 1989 VFL season, before breaking his leg in St Kilda's round five game against Essendon Football Club, Essendon at Windy Hill, Essendon, Windy Hill. He not only missed the rest of the year but also didn't play a senior game in 1990 AFL season, 1990. A rover, he returned for 1991 AFL season and averaged 20 disposals from his 18 appearances. In Australian sport, the best and fairest award recognises the player(s) adjudged to have had the best performance in a game or over a season for a given sporting club or competition. The awards are sometimes dependent on not receiving a suspension for misconduct or breaching the rules during that season. In the Australian Football League (AFL), the Brownlow Medal is awarded to the player who, provided he has not been suspended during the season, receives the most votes from the umpires for being the Fairest and Best player in games during the home and away season. In each game, the umpires award three votes to the player they judge to be the best afield in that game, two votes to the second-best player and one vote to the third-best player. The votes are counted at a gala function on the Monday preceding the Grand Final.
