Gamal Fahnbulleh
Gamal Fahnbulleh (born April 1982) is a British broadcast journalist and presenter, currently employed by ITV Granada. He presents Granada Reports, an evening news programme for North West England and the Isle of Man. Early life Gamal Fahnbulleh was born on April 1982 in Sierra Leone in West Africa. He, his parents, and his sister Miatta Fahnbulleh (economist), Miatta moved to the UK in the 80s when he was three years old. Education Fahnbulleh was educated at Taunton School, a boarding independent school in Taunton, Somerset, followed by the University of Manchester, where he graduated with a BA honours in politics and history, followed by a master's degree in international politics. He then enrolled on a postgraduate diploma course in broadcast journalism at City University in London. ''The News Hour with Mark Austin'' is a weekday news programme in the United Kingdom on Sky News, presented by Mark Austin. It combines rolling-news coverage with analysis and interviews on the day's issues. The show airs between 5 pm7 pm Monday to Friday. The 2011 England riots, more widely known as the London riots, were a series of riots between 6 and 11 August 2011. Thousands of people rioted in cities and towns across England, which saw looting, arson, as well as mass deployment of police and the deaths of five people. The protests started in Tottenham Hale, London, following the death of Mark Duggan, a local man who was shot dead by police on 4 August. Several violent clashes with police followed Duggan's death, along with the destruction of police vehicles, a double-decker bus and many homes and businesses, which rapidly gained the attention of the media. Overnight, looting took place in Tottenham Hale retail park and in nearby Wood Green. The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment (King's, Lancashire and Border) (LANCS) is an infantry regiment of the line within the British Army, part of the King's Division. Headquartered in Preston, it recruits throughout the North West of England.
