Galy Galiano
Carmelo Galiano Cotes, better known as Galy Galiano (Chiriguaná, Cesar, Colombia, 10 February 1958), is a Colombian composer and singer of romantic and tropical music. He was the first Colombian artist to appear in ''Billboard'' with three songs in a single listing. Biography He formed his first musical group Los Diamantes del Cesar with friends in the neighborhood where he played bass and composed songs. Later he met Cuban producer Ricardo Acosta, who gave him his stage name and recorded his first album. Galy Galiano released in 1981 the album Frío de ausencia, of the ballad genre, with which he occupied the first places of the Billboard magazine for three consecutive months. The title of the album originated from a poem written by his father Orlando Galiano. In Guatemala, Galy Galiano received the "Dama de plata" award for the best selling album of the year. RCN Televisión, branded as Canal RCN (''Radio Cadena Nacional'') is a Colombian free-to-air television network. It is a Colombian open television channel, belonging to the Ardila Lülle Organization. It was founded as a television content production company on March 23, 1967, and found its broadcasts as an independent channel on July 10, 1998. Its main shareholder is Carlos Ardila Lülle. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. Cesar Department
Caesar Department ( es, Departamento del Cesar, links=no) or simply Caesar () is a department of Colombia located in the north of the country in the Caribbean region, bordering to the north with the Department of La Guajira, to the west with the Department of Magdalene and Department of Bolivar, to the south with Department of Santander, to the east with the Department of North Santander, and further to the east with the country of Venezuela (Zulia State).
