GURPS Ultra-Tech
''GURPS Ultra-Tech'' is a sourcebook published by Steve Jackson Games (SJG) in 1989 for science fiction role-playing games using third edition ''GURPS'' (''Generic Universal Role-playing System'') rules. Description ''GURPS Ultra-Tech'' is written for gamemasters running science fiction campaigns using the third edition ''GURPS'' rules. The equipment is listed in increasing levels of technology. In game terms, the book contains chapters on equipment from Tech Level 8 (near future) to Tech Level 16 (miraculous technology of the distant future). Publication history SJG published ''GURPS'', a set of universal role-playing rules, in 1985, and followed that with many genre sourcebooks, as well as a second and third edition of the general rules. John Zeleznik
John Zeleznik is an artist and illustrator. Career Zeleznik has provided covers and illustrative work for many role-playing games including ''Shadowrun'', '' Rifts'' (and other Palladium Books games), and ''GURPS''. He graduated from the Otis/Parsons Institute of Art in Los Angeles with a BFA in Illustration. He works in acrylic paint on illustration board. He illustrated the covers to several ''Shadowrun'' books, including '' DNA/DOA'' (1990), ''Queen Euphoria'' (1990), and ''Bottled Demon'' (1990). Zeleznik is also the designer and artist for the science fiction/superhero ''Skraypers'' setting for ''Rifts'' and ''Heroes Unlimited''. David Pulver
David L. Pulver (born 2 November 1965 in Kingston, Ontario) is a Canadian freelance writer and game designer, author of more than fifty role-playing game rulebooks and supplements, including the award-winning ''Transhuman Space''. Early life and education Pulver has a History BA from Queen's University. The ''Generic Universal RolePlaying System'', or ''GURPS'', is a tabletop role-playing game system designed to allow for play in any game setting. It was created by Steve Jackson Games and first published in 1986 at a time when most such systems were story- or genre-specific. A gamemaster (GM; also known as game master, game manager, game moderator, referee, or storyteller) is a person who acts as an organizer, officiant for regarding rules, arbitrator, and moderator for a multiplayer role-playing game. They are more common in co-operative games in which players work together than in competitive games in which players oppose each other. The act performed by a gamemaster is sometimes referred to as "Gamemastering" or simply "GM-ing". Role-playing or roleplaying is the changing of one's behaviour to assume a role, either unconsciously to fill a social role, or consciously to act out an adopted role.
