Freedom And Justice
Freedom and Justice ( lt, Laisvė ir Teisingumas, LT), known until 6 June 2020 as the Lithuanian Freedom Union (Liberals) ( lt, Lietuvos Laisvės Sąjunga (Liberalai)), is a conservative liberal political party in Lithuania. It holds soft eurosceptic views. History The party was originally founded on 12 July 2014, when the Liberal and Centre Union (LiCS) merged with YES. YES leader Artūras Zuokas became a leader of newly formed party. In 2015 Lithuanian municipal election the party won 4.91 per cent of votes. Its best performance was in northeast of Lithuania. In 2016 Lithuanian parliamentary election the party won 2.16 per cent of votes in multi-member constituency. Vilnius ( , ; see also other names) is the capital and largest city of Lithuania, with a population of 592,389 (according to the state register) or 625,107 (according to the municipality of Vilnius). Delfi (occasionally capitalized as DELFI) is a news website in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania providing daily news, ranging from gardening to politics. It ranks as one of the most popular websites among Baltic users. Delfi operates in the respective Baltic countries under the domain names delfi.ee, delfi.lv, and delfi.lt. Aside from versions in the Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian languages, the company offers Russian language versions of its portal in all three countries. On 12 March 2012, Delfi started a Polish version under pl.delfi.lt. A year later an English version was added under en.delfi.lt. In March 2014 delfi.ua version was closed. 2019 European Parliament Election In Lithuania
The 2019 European Parliament election in Lithuania was held on 26 May 2019 to elect delegation from Lithuania to the European Parliament. It was part of the wider 2019 European election. The second round of the 2019 Lithuanian presidential election took place at the same time. 301 candidates from 16 parties stood for 11 seats. Results The Homeland Union received the most votes (19.74 per cent) and most seats (3), although it won only in 12 (or just over one-fifth of) municipalities.
