Fraser Kingan
Fraser Kingnan is a Scottish curler from Dumfries. He is a former World Junior silver medallist and represented Scotland at the 2018 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Kingan began curling at around 2006. He won the 2017 Scottish Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, earning him and partner Jayne Stirling the right to represent Scotland at the 2018 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. There, the pair went 6–1 in the round robin, before losing to Japan in the round of 16, but won their next three placement games to finish 9th overall. . Earlier that year, he also won the 2018 Scottish Junior Men's Championship, and played on the Scottish team at the 2018 World Junior Curling Championships on home ice in Aberdeen. Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 2
The WCT Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup is an annual mixed doubles curling series on the ISS Mixed Doubles World Curling Tour. There are two events held annually, usually held a week apart in April. They take place at the Kērlinga halle in Riga, Latvia. For the 2020–21 curling season, the first event was held in November 2020, while the second event was held in April 2021. For the 2021–22 curling season, the first event was held in November 2021, while the second event was held in April 2022. The purse for both events is €1,000 and the event categorization for both events is 100 (highest calibre is 1000). The event has been held since 2016, making it one of the oldest mixed doubles tour events. The event usually attracts some of the top teams in Europe, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Latvia, the 2020 event was mostly played by Latvian teams. It has been part of the tour since 2017. The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. Teams earned points in every event with the top 30 qualifying for the season ending " V.O. Cup", today known as the Players' Championship. Its first president and CEO was Lukowich. Dumfries
Dumfries ( ; sco, Dumfries; from gd, Dùn Phris ) is a market town and former royal burgh within the Dumfries and Galloway council area of Scotland. It is located near the mouth of the River Nith into the Solway Firth about by road from the Anglo-Scottish border and just away from Cumbria by air.
