Frank Cogan
Matthew Francis Cogan (born 15 June 1944), known as Frank Cogan, is an Irish former Gaelic football coach and player. At club level he played with Nemo Rangers and was a member of and later coached the Cork senior football team. Cogan usually lined out as a defender. Playing career Cogan first came to Gaelic football prominence as a schoolboy at Coláiste Chríost Rí before later winning a Sigerson Cup title with University College Cork in 1966. He had earlier won the first of seven County Championship medals with the college; the other six were claimed with the Nemo Rangers club, with whom he also won three All-Ireland Club Championship titles. Cogan first appeared on the inter-county scene as a member of the Cork minor team that won the county's inaugural All-Ireland Minor Championship title in 1961. Nemo Rangers Hurling & Football Club is a Cork (city), Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club on the southside of Cork city, Ireland. The club was founded in 1922 and is involved in Gaelic football, hurling, Ladies football and Camogie. 1973 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 1973 All-Ireland Football Championship was the 87th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter county, inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 13 May 1973 and ended on 23 September 1973. Offaly GAA, Offaly were the 1972 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, defending champions but were defeated by Galway GAA, Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final. On 23 September 1973, Cork GAA, Cork won the championship following a 3-17 to 2-13 defeat of Galway in the All-Ireland final. Jack Gargan (hurler)
John Gargan (8 November 1918 – 1991) was an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-forward for the Kilkenny and Dublin senior teams. Gargan made his first appearance for the Kilkenny team during the 1939 championship and was a regular on the inter-county scene until his retirement from Dublin after the 1947 championship. During that time he won one All-Ireland medal and four Leinster medals. At club level Gargan enjoyed successful spells with Éire Óg and Faughs. Matt Gargan
Matthew Gargan (30 September 1885 – 10 March 1949) was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Kilkenny and Waterford senior teams. Gargan made his first appearance for the Kilkenny team during the 1905 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 1917 championship. The All-Ireland Senior Football Championship (SFC) ( ga, Craobh Shinsir Peile na hÉireann) is the premier competition in Gaelic football. An annual tournament organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), it is contested by the county teams in All-Ireland. Billy Morgan (Gaelic Footballer)
William Morgan (born 2 February 1945) is an Irish former Gaelic football manager who played as goalkeeper at senior level for and, later, managed the Cork county team. His five-decade-long association with the team has led to him being regarded as one of the most iconic figures within Cork football. Born in Cork, Morgan was introduced to Gaelic games by his father, a native of Galway who had played hurling at junior level with the county. He came to prominence with Coláiste Chríost Rí before later winning back-to-back Sigerson Cup medals with University College Cork. The 1976 All-Ireland Minor Football Championship was the 45th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament for boys under 18. Kerry entered the championship as defending champions; however, they were defeated by Cork in the Munster final.
