Francis Hely-Hutchinson
Francis Hely-Hutchinson (26 October 1759 – 16 December 1827), styled The Honourable from 1783, was an Irish politician. Biography He was the son of Christiana Nickson, 1st Baroness of Donoughmore of Knocklofty and The Rt Hon. John Hely-Hutchinson. He served as Member of Parliament in the Irish House of Commons for Dublin University from 1790 to 1798 and then for Naas from 1798 until the Act of Union in 1801. He married Frances Nixon and had nine children. Their daughter, Louisa Frances Hely-Hutchinson married Francis Synge-Hutchinson and their son was Lt-Gen Coote Synge-Hutchinson. His son John succeeded to the peerages created for both his mother and brother. From 1800-27 he served as Collector of Customs at Dublin Port succeeding Theophilus Jones. George Knox
The Honourable George Knox PC, FRS (14 January 1765 – 13 June 1827), was an Irish Tory politician. Knox was the fifth son of Thomas Knox, 1st Viscount Northland. In 1790, Knox entered the Irish House of Commons for Dungannon. Subsequently, he sat for Dublin University until the Act of Union in 1801. Thereafter Knox sat as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the United Kingdom Parliament and represented Dublin University from 1801 to 1807. In the first Parliament to be held after the Union of Great Britain and Ireland on 1 January 1801, the first House of Commons of the United Kingdom was composed of all 558 members of the former Parliament of Great Britain and 100 of the members of the House of Commons of Ireland. The Parliament of Great Britain had held its last general election in 1796 and last met on 5 November 1800. The final general election for the Parliament of Ireland had taken place in 1797, although by-elections had continued to take place until 1800. The other chamber of the Parliament, the House of Lords, consisted of members of the pre-existing House of Lords in Great Britain, in addition to 28 representative peers elected by members of the former Irish House of Lords. Sir John Macartney, 1st Baronet (died 29 May 1812) was an Irish Member of Parliament. Biography He was the second son of William Macartney, a long-serving Member of Parliament for Belfast, by his wife Catherine, daughter of Thomas Bankes. He married firstly (by licence of the prerogative court of Ireland dated 26 February 1778) Anne, daughter of Edward Scriven by his wife Elizabeth, daughter of John Barclay of Dublin.
