Francis Bryce
Francis Bryce OBE (January/March 1876 in Bystock, St Thomas, Devon – 2 February 1951 in Bermuda) was a British military officer and the son of John Pablo Bryce, a member of the British gentry who served as sheriff of Devon. Family Bryce was born in 1876 and was the son of John Pablo Bryce and María de las Mercedes González de Candamo y Iriarte, who was the sister of Manuel González de Candamo e Iriarte (1841–1904), President of Peru (1903–1904). Biography Bryce held the rank of Major in the service of the King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was also an officer of the Order of the British Empire. He lived in Hamilton, Bermuda. Order Of The British Empire
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. There is also the related British Empire Medal, whose recipients are affiliated with, but not members of, the order. Recommendations for appointments to the Order of the British Empire were originally made on the nomination of the United Kingdom, the self-governing Dominions of the Empire (later Commonwealth) and the Viceroy of India. Mosley Baronets
There have been three baronetcies created for members of the Mosley family, one in the Baronetage of England and two in the Baronetage of Great Britain. Only one creation is extant. Since 1980, the title has been held jointly with Baron Ravensdale in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. Frognal is a small area of Hampstead, North West London in the London Borough of Camden. Frognal is reinforced as the name of a minor road, which goes uphill from Finchley Road and at its upper end is in the west of Hampstead village. St Thomas, Exeter
St Thomas (St Thomas the Apostle's) is an area of Exeter and formerly a civil parish and registration district in Devon, England, on the western side of the River Exe, connected to Exeter by Exe Bridge.
