Alberto Herrera Franchi
General Alberto Herrera y Franchi (September 1, 1874 – March 18, 1954) was the interim President of Cuba from August 12 to August 13, 1933. Biography General Herrera was the Secretary of War & Navy during the presidency of Gerardo Machado. He was married to Ofelia Rodríguez Arango and they had three children, Alberto, Rodolfo and Ofelia Herrera y Rodríguez-Arango. Role in Machado's administration and the 1933 Revolution On August 11, 1933, when Cuban Army rebels took hold of the Castillo de la Real Fuerza, General Herrera attended the fortress in order to reach a resolution or pact with the rebels. Garry Franchi (born December 3, 1983) is an Ivorian-born French professional footballer who plays in the Championnat National 2 for FC Chartres. His father is from Corsica and his mother from Morocco. He played professionally in Ligue 2 for FC Lorient. Career Franchi came through the junior systems of AS Arnouville and FC Saint-Leu, joining the National Technical Centre at Clairefontaine aged 12. After three years he had offers to join four club academies, and chose FC Lorient. He made his Ligue 2 debut for Lorient on 18 October 2003, coming on as a late substitute in a 2–0 away defeat to Caen. At the end of the season he signed a two-year professional contract with the club. After leaving Lorient, Franchi joined Championnat National side L'Entente SSG. Stadio Artemio Franchi is a multi-purpose stadium in Siena, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and the home of A.C.N. Siena. It was built in 1923 and holds 15,373. The Stadio Artemio Franchi is a football stadium in Florence, Italy. It is currently the home of ACF Fiorentina. The old nickname of the stadium was "Comunale." When it was first constructed, it was known as the ''Stadio Giovanni Berta'', after Florentine fascist Giovanni Berta. The stadium was officially opened on 13 September 1931 with a match between Fiorentina and Admira Wien (1–0), though it took until 1932 for the stadium to be completely finished and currently holds 47,282. The architect is Pier Luigi Nervi (known for the Nervi Hall in the Vatican) and it is one of the most relevant examples of 20th-century architecture in the city. Sergio Franchi (born Sergio Franci Galli; April 6, 1926 – May 1, 1990) was an Italian-American tenor and actor who enjoyed success in the United States and internationally after gaining notice in Britain in the early 1960s. In 1962, RCA Victor signed him to a seven-year contract and in October of that year Franchi appeared on ''The Ed Sullivan Show'' and performed at Carnegie Hall. Lorenzo Franchi (Bologna, c. 1563 - c. 1630) was an Italian painter, active in a late-Mannerist or early-Baroque style mainly in Reggio Emilia. Biography He trained under Camillo Procaccini, and traveled with him to Reggio Emilia. Over time, his style came to resemble the work of Annibale and Ludovico Carracci. He painted for the church of San Prospero in Reggio and in the residence of the Signore Giovanni Casotti.
