Fran Smith
Fran Smith Jr. (born July 17, 1952) is an American bass guitarist and vocalist, best known for his 30-year gig with the Philadelphia-based rock group The Hooters. Smith has also maintained a career as a recording artist in his own right, as well as a producer for other artists. Smith has toured as Paul McCartney in ''Beatlemania'', a celebration of The Beatles. He also played the part of Carlo Cannoli in ''Tony and Tina's Wedding'', a long running off-Broadway comedy. From his own recording studio he has produced many successful projects for artists such as Joe Piscopo and Flo & Eddie of The Turtles. In 1995, Smith released the solo CD ''For No Apparent Reason'', as Rory Kunkle. In 2005, he released ''Man Meets Machine'', Fran Smith Jr and the Ten Cent Millionaires In 2016, he released ''Mystic County'' on his son Graham Alexander's Odeon label. Wachovia Spectrum
The Spectrum (later known as CoreStates Spectrum, First Union Spectrum and Wachovia Spectrum) was an indoor arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Opened in September 1967 as part of what is now known as the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, after several expansions of its seating capacity it accommodated 18,168 for basketball and 17,380 for ice hockey, arena football, indoor soccer, and box lacrosse. The last event at the Spectrum was a Pearl Jam concert on October 31, 2009. The arena was demolished between November 2010 and May 2011. Joe Piscopo
Joseph Charles John Piscopo ( ; born June 17, 1951) is an American actor, comedian and conservative radio talk show host. He was a cast member on ''Saturday Night Live'' from 1980 to 1984, where he played a variety of recurring characters. His film roles include Danny Vermin in ''Johnny Dangerously'' (1984), Moe Dickstein in '' Wise Guys'' (1986), Doug Bigelow in ''Dead Heat'' (1988), and Kelly Stone in '' Sidekicks'' (1992). Early life Piscopo was born in Passaic, New Jersey, and grew up in North Caldwell. He attended West Essex High School and was a member of the drama club "The Masquers." Glen Burtnik (born Glenn Burtnick; April 8, 1955) is a singer, songwriter, entertainer and multi-instrumentalist, best known as a former member of Styx. Burtnik is originally from North Brunswick, New Jersey, in the Middlesex County part of the Raritan Bayshore, of the larger Jersey Shore and lives in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Burtnik has written hit songs for Randy Travis, Patty Smyth and Don Henley. Flo & Eddie is a comedy rock duo consisting of Mark Volman (Flo, short for Phlorescent Leech) and Howard Kaylan (Eddie). The two were the original founding members of the Top 40 mid-to late 1960s rock and pop group The Turtles. After the Turtles dissolved in 1970, Volman and Kaylan first joined Frank Zappa's band The Mothers of Invention as Phlorescent Leech & Eddie.
