Foxy Production
Foxy Production is a New York contemporary art gallery founded by Michael Gillespie and John Thomson. Foxy Production, established in 2003, is currently located in Chinatown, New York City. Windowed on three sides and housed within a landmark Victorian building, the gallery space is designed by London architects Matheson Whiteley. Foxy Production inaugurated its gallery program in January 2003 after a series of intermittent projects between 2001 and 2002. The gallery opened in Brooklyn and then moved to Manhattan in September 2003. In January 2006 it opened a new ground floor space in west Chelsea before moving to Chinatown. Contemporary Art Gallery
A contemporary art gallery is normally a commercial art gallery operated by an art dealer which specializes in displaying for sale contemporary art, usually new works of art by living artists. This approach has been called the "Castelli Method" after Leo Castelli, whose success was attributed to his active involvement in discovering and promoting emerging artists beginning in the late 1950s with Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg. Simone Gilges
Simone Gilges (1973 – 11 August 2023) was a German contemporary artist who was a founding member of Honey-Suckle Company, and the publisher of "Freier", a magazine for the mental state. She lived and worked in Berlin. Biography Simone Gilges was born in Bonn, West Germany in 1973. Ester Partegàs (born 1972) is a Spanish contemporary artist and educator. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York (state), New York. Biography Ester Partegàs was born in 1972 in La Garriga, Province of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain. Violet Hopkins
Violet Hopkins is an American painter. She holds a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia. Hopkins work often draws inspiration from found images of the natural and scientific world, using ink, pencil and paint to transform them into color-rich, dynamic scenes that incorporate both abstract and figurative elements. Sara Cwynar is a contemporary artist who works with photography, collage, installation and book-making. Cwynar was born in Vancouver, Canada in 1985 and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
