	Ford Ladies' Classic The Ford Ladies' Classic was a women's professional golf tournament in England on the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tournament was held at Woburn Golf and Country Club in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire; first played on the Duke's Course (1982–84), it moved to the Duchess Course in 1985. 	Jenny Lee Smith Jennifer Constance Lee Smith (born 2 December 1948) is an English golfer, known for winning the inaugural Women's British Open in 1976 at Fulford Golf Club, York, England and later winning the Order of Merit on the Women's Professional Golf Association tour (now Ladies European Tour) in 1981 and 1982. Lee-Smith was born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne and started playing golf at a relatively young age. After some success in regional tournaments in the late 1960s and early 1970s, she began to play in international tournaments. 	Kitrina Douglas Kitrina Douglas (born 6 September 1960) is an English ex- professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour. Douglas won the British Ladies Amateur in 1982 and played in the 1982 Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup team. She played professionally on the Ladies European Tour, where she won eight times and was a member of the 1992 European Solheim Cup team. 	Muriel Thomson Muriel Natalie Thomson (born 12 December 1954) is a retired Scottish professional golfer. Thomson was an amateur golfer in Scotland before playing on the Ladies European Tour from 1979 to 1989. During her time on the tour, she won the Order of Merit title in 1980 and 1983 while winning nine tournaments overall. In team events, Thomson was part of the team that won the 1977 Vagliano Trophy and played at the 1978 Curtis Cup. Early life and education On 12 December 1954, Thomson was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. She began golfing at the age of eight years old. Career Thomson worked in banking while she was an amateur golfer. 	Marie-Laure De Lorenzi Marie-Laure de Lorenzi (born 21 January 1961, in Biarritz) is a French professional golfer. She is also known by her married name Marie-Laure Taya, and competed using that name until midway through 1989 when she reverted to her maiden name. De Lorenzi played for her country in the European Lady Junior's Team Championship, for players up to the age of 21, from she was 14 years old in 1975 until 1982 and was on the winning team in 1979. She also won individually in 1981. De Lorenzi joined the Ladies European Tour in 1987 and is now a life member of the tour, having accumulated 19 tournament victories on it. She played for Europe in the first Solheim Cup, which took place in 1990, and was also a member of the European team in 1996 and 1998. 	Dale Reid Dale Reid (born 20 March 1959) is a Scottish professional golfer from Ladybank, Fife. She is one of the most successful players in the history of the Ladies European Tour, with 21 tournament victories. She topped the Order of Merit in 1984 and 1987 and was made a life member of the tour after collecting her 20th title at the 1991 Ford Classic. She played for Europe in the first four Solheim Cups (1990, 1992, 1994 and 1996) and was Europe's non-playing captain in 2000 and 2002. 	Stefania Croce Stefania Croce (born 17 May 1970) is an Italian professional golfer, who plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET), and is a former member of the LPGA Tour. Croce qualified for the LPGA Tour on her second attempt in doing so in 1993. Croce won one tournament on the LET, which the win came at the 1992 Ford Ladies' Classic. She is best known for coming in second to Juli Inkster at the 2000 LPGA Championship, which she lost in a playoff on the second hole.
