State Road 492 (SR 492) is a short state road in Ocala, Florida. It is a west to east road that runs , is four lanes wide with provisions for center turn lanes where necessary, and serves as a connecting route between U.S. Route 27 (US 27) and eastern Ocala, Silver Springs, and the Ocala National Forest. Route description State Road 492 begins as a continuation of Northwest 10th Street at the north end of the concurrency of US 27, and US 301- 441. Two blocks later, the road crosses a grade crossing of a Florida Northern Railroad spur leading to the Evergreen Cemetery. Silver Springs is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Marion County, Florida, United States. It is the site of Silver Springs, a group of artesian springs and a historic tourist attraction that is now part of Silver Springs State Park. The community is part of the Ocala metropolitan area. The Ocala National Forest ls the second largest nationally protected forest in the U.S. State of Florida. It covers of northern Florida. It is located three miles (5 km) east of Ocala and southeast of Gainesville. The Florida Northern Railroad Company, Inc. is one of several short line railroads run by Regional Rail, LLC. It has connections to CSX at Ocala, Florida, running north to Lowell, Florida, and south to Candler, Florida. It was formerly run by CSX as their Ocala Subdivision. The railroad also operates lines connecting to CSX in Newberry, Florida, running south to the Crystal River Energy Complex in Red Level, Florida, just north of Crystal River. This line was formerly CSX's West Coast Subdivision and Red Level Subdivision. State Road 464 (SR 464) is a short state and county road (County Road 464 or CR 464) in Marion County, Florida. The road is primarily in southern Ocala, but extends outside of the city limits. Route description SR 464 begins on the southeast side of SR 200, across from the intersection of Southwest 20th Court as Southwest 17th Street. The road runs southeast but immediately curves to the east before intersecting Southwest 19th Avenue Road. From there it continues its straight eastern trek as it approaches the newly constructed Railroad bridge over Southwest 7th Road and Avenue at the CSX Wildwood Subdivision, part of the CSX S-Line. CSX S-Line
The Seaboard Air Line Railroad’s Main Line was the backbone of the Seaboard Air Line Railroad's network in the southeastern United States. The main line ran from Richmond, Virginia to Tampa, Florida, a distance of over 800 miles. Along its route it passed through Petersburg, Raleigh, Columbia, Savannah, Jacksonville, and Ocala, Florida. State Road 200 (SR 200) is a major diagonal road in central and northeast Florida. Its southern terminus is at US 41 ( SR 45) in Hernando (Citrus County). Its northern terminus is at SR A1A in Fernandina Beach ( Nassau County), at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Fletcher Avenue. Route description SR 200 is signed from Hernando through Apache Shores and Stokes Ferry in Citrus County, passing a narrow bridge over the Withlacoochee River.
