Flommen Golf Club
Flommen Golf Club is a links golf club located in Falsterbo, Skåne County in Sweden. It has hosted the PLM Open on the European Tour. History The club was established in 1935 which makes it the country's 19th oldest golf club. It is located on Sweden's southwestern tip, along the Baltic Sea, adjacent to Falsterbo Golf Club and near Ljunghusen Golf Club. Situated in the Flommen Nature Preserve amongst shallow lagoons and high dunes, it is one of few links courses in the country. The club has hosted the PLM Open on the European Tour. New Zealand's Frank Nobilo recorded his first European Tour victory at the 1988 PLM Open, while eventual world number one Vijay Singh made his European Tour debut, and then-rookie Colin Montgomerie recorded his first top-3 European Tour finish at the same tournament. Falsterbo
Falsterbo (, outdatedly ) is a town located at the south-western tip of Sweden in Vellinge Municipality in Skåne. Falsterbo is situated in the southern part of the Falsterbo peninsula. It is part of Skanör med Falsterbo, one of Sweden's historical cities. Climate ''See Skanör med Falsterbo#Climate for more data.'' History Falsterbo historically enjoyed trading privileges with the Hanseatic League. During the Middle Ages, it was a rich and prestigious town owing to its location in a center of trade and herring fishery. Gunnar Mueller
Folke Gunnar Mueller (born 5 January 1948) is a Swedish professional golfer, who formerly played on the European Tour and the Asian Golf Circuit. Early life and amateur career Mueller started playing golf in 1962, at 14 years of age, at Lund Academic Golf Club, after his family had moved from Tranemo to Malmö. Five years later, he owned the course record at Lund AGC. As an amateur, Mueller won the Swedish National Junior Championship and represented Sweden both on junior level and in the European Amateur Team Championship. Still an amateur in 1970, he finished 35th in a professional tournament, the Dutch Open. He won one of the three major amateur tournaments at the time in Sweden, the 1971 Scandinavian International Match Play Championship, beating Henry Knudsen, Denmark in the final 4 and 3.
