Flip Skateboards is a United States-based international skateboard company, co-owned by Jeremy Fox and Ian Deacon. The company produces skateboard hard goods (decks, wheels, bearings, completes, and hardware), soft goods (T-shirts, tops, sweatshirts, hats, beanies, and socks), DVDs, and accessories. The brand was distributed globally by US company NHS Inc. Starting in July 2017, the brand is distributed in Europe by HLC. ''Thrasher'' is a skateboarding magazine founded in January 1981 by Eric Swenson and Fausto Vitello. The publication consists primarily of skateboard- and music-related articles, photography, interviews and skatepark reviews. Jeremy Fox
Jeremy Robert "Jim" Fox OBE (born 19 September 1941) is a British modern pentathlete and Olympic champion. Career Fox is one of the most influential figures in the development of the Modern Pentathlon in Britain. He won the British title a record ten times and is the only British pentathlete to have competed in four Olympic Games. His fourth place in the individual event at Munich in 1972 was the best placing by a Briton up to that time. It was only subsequently matched by Richard Phelps in 1984, and surpassed in 2021 by Joe Choong who won gold in Tokyo. Fox made his Olympic début in 1964, when he placed 29th in the individual event, and in his second Olympic appearance in 1968 he improved to finish eighth. Patrick John Ladd (born January 11, 1983), professionally known as PJ Ladd, is an American professional skateboarder whose stance is ''regular''. Ladd was labelled an "east coast legend" by fellow professional skateboarder and team manager John Rattray in May 2013. Early life Ladd was born in Rockland, Massachusetts and grew up in Boston. Ali Boulala (born January 28, 1979) is a Swedish professional skateboarder, who has appeared in the Flip Skateboards videos ''Sorry'' and ''Really Sorry'', Osiris' ''Subject to Change'', and numerous Baker Skateboards videos. Early life Boulala was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and is of Finnish and Algerian descent. Professional skateboarding Boulala is sponsored by Flip Skateboards, Independent trucks and Flip wheels. In 2010, Boulala was invited to rejoin the Kr3w Clothing Team, but is no longer listed as a team member on the brand's website as of 2014. Boulala's skateboarding concentrated on the unusual, as he preferred to skate in obscure locations and experiment with skateboard tricks. Shane Cross (22 August 1986 – 7 March 2007) was an Australian street skateboarder from the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Cross gained global prominence within the skateboarding community during the mid-2000s, before his death in a motorcycle crash when he was 20.
