Flinton is a hamlet in and the seat of the municipality of Addington Highlands, Lennox and Addington County in Eastern Ontario, Canada. The population is about 500, and it was founded by Billa Flint. The community is on the Skootamatta River whose falls were used to power many mills. Lennox and Addington County is a county and census division of the Canadian province of Ontario. The county seat is Greater Napanee. It is located in the subregion of Southern Ontario named Eastern Ontario. Addington Highlands ( 2016 population 2,323) is a township in central eastern Ontario, Canada, in the County of Lennox and Addington. Bon Echo Provincial Park is located primarily in Addington Highlands. History Addington Highlands was formed in 1998 through the amalgamation of the Township of Kaladar, Anglesea and Effingham with the Township of Denbigh, Abinger and Ashby.
