These regions have their own arms, as well as their own gonfalone; more recently they have taken into use ''normal'' flags as well. Flag Of Emilia-Romagna
The flag of Emilia-Romagna is one of the official symbols of the region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The flag shows the coat of arms adopted in 1989 in the variant with green writing and red bar on a white background. Currently the banner does not enjoy official legislative status, but is currently used in ceremonial context since the end of the 90s: for November 4, 1995, the national day of the Armed Forces, the President of the Republic Oscar Luigi Scalfaro wanted to exhibit in a Sala del Quirinale the flags of all Italian regions, but many of them, including Emilia-Romagna, did not have specific laws regarding the adoption of a banner. Therefore, several provisional versions were developed (one for each region that did not have one) to respond to the request of the Head of State. The flag of Piedmont is one of the official symbols of the region of Piedmont in Italy. The current flag was adopted on 24 November 1995. History The flag of Piedmont is essentially the arms of the Prince of Piedmont, the title for the eldest son of the King of Sardinia. When Duke Amadeus VIII of Savoy gave his eldest surviving son the title of "Prince of Piedmont" in 1424, he added a heraldic label to the coat of arms distinguish it from the general coat of arms of the House of Savoy. Two versions exist of the Piedmontese flag: one with a blue border, and one without a blue border. The latest version, officially adopted in 1995, features a gold fringe and orange ribbon, although the flag is sometimes seen without it. Molise
Molise (, , ; nap, label=Neapolitan language, Neapolitan, Mulise) is a Regions of Italy, region of Southern Italy. Until 1963, it formed part of the region of Abruzzi e Molise, alongside the region of Abruzzo. The split, which did not become effective until 1970, makes Molise the newest region in Italy. Covering , it is the second smallest region in the country after the Aosta Valley, and has a population of 313,348 (as of 1 January 2015). The region is split into two provinces, named after their respective capitals Campobasso Province, Campobasso and Isernia Province, Isernia. Campobasso also serves as the regional capital. Marche ( , ) is one of the twenty regions of Italy. In English, the region is sometimes referred to as The Marches ( ). The flag of Marche is one of the official symbols of the region of Marche, Italy. Like many Italian regional flags, it was adopted on 4 November 1995 for Armed Forces Day of Italy ( it). In absence of a law on the subject, the regional emblem that had been adopted on 15 March 1980 was simply inserted on a white background. Symbolism The emblem of Marche bears a stylized woodpecker, overlapping a black shape to form a capital letter M, against a green-bordered shield with a white field.
