''Fjols til fjells'' or ''Fools in the Mountains'' is a Norwegian situation comedy film released in 1957. It is one of the most popular Norwegian films of all time. Plot When two guests who look exactly alike arrive at Hurlumhei hotel, the manager Poppe, thinking they are one person, begins questioning if he's going mad. Teddy Winter is a famous suave actor while the other (an unnamed ornithologist) is a geeky professor. Soon the actor's ex-lovers, an actress named Eva Sommer and a famous model named Mona Miller join them at the hotel adding to the confusion. Edith Carlmar
Edith Carlmar (born Edith Mary Johanne Mathiesen) (15 November 1911 – 17 May 2003) was a Norwegian actress and Norway's first female film director. She is known for films such as ''Aldri annet enn bråk'' (1954), ''Fjols til fjells'' (1957), and '' Ung flukt'' (''The Wayward Girl'', 1959). Her 1949 film, ''Døden er et kjærtegn'' (''Death is a Caress''), is considered to be Norway's first film noir. The last film she directed, '' Ung flukt'', introduced Liv Ullmann, Norway's most famous actor internationally, to the silver screen. Carlmar came from a poor family in the working class districts of East Oslo. However, she did manage to take dancing classes and made her debut on stage at the age of 15. In the theater she met Otto Carlmar whom she married three years later. From 1936 she worked as an actress in various theatres. Liv Johanne Ullmann (born 16 December 1938) is a Norwegian actress and film director. Recognised as one of the greatest European actresses of all time, Ullmann is known as the muse and frequent partner of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. Anne-Lise Wang (March 2, 1920 – March 20, 1967) was a Norwegian actress. Career Wang performed at Chat Noir and the Oslo New Theater. She also appeared in seven feature films between 1942 and 1958. Personal life Wang was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. She was the daughter of Fritz Wang (1888–1952) and Hertha Olsen (1891–1959). In 1948 she became the second wife of the theatre director Johan Henrik Wiers-Jenssen. Wang died of heart failure at age 47 in Hammerfest, Norway. Alicia Malone is an Australian television host and author, born in Canberra, Australia. She is a host on Turner Classic Movies. Career Alicia Malone first auditioned for, and was hired by the TCM film streaming service, FilmStruck, in 2015. Malone practiced auditioning for a TCM broadcast channel hosting role by recording the introductions made by Robert Osborne and Ben Mankiewicz, then writing out the scripts, and then practiced reading those scripts in front of a camera. In 2017, she auditioned for a Turner Classic Movies hosting role, and the following January, in 2018, she was hired by the network.
