Alicia Malone
Alicia Malone is an Australian television host and author, born in Canberra, Australia. She is a host on Turner Classic Movies. Career Alicia Malone first auditioned for, and was hired by the TCM film streaming service, FilmStruck, in 2015. Malone practiced auditioning for a TCM broadcast channel hosting role by recording the introductions made by Robert Osborne and Ben Mankiewicz, then writing out the scripts, and then practiced reading those scripts in front of a camera. In 2017, she auditioned for a Turner Classic Movies hosting role, and the following January, in 2018, she was hired by the network. She said that in order to prepare for work as a host on TCM, she needs to watch all of the films which are to screen on TCM, do research in order to understand the background behind the films, and also know how to expertly read a teleprompter.
