Five Nations Roller Derby Championships
The Five Nations Roller Derby Championships is an annual competition for roller derby leagues in the United Kingdom. History The tournament originated as the End of the World Series, a 2012 league of six roller derby teams in central England. The success of this competition led it to expand in 2013 under the new name of the Heartland Series, with twelve teams in two division, and it doubled in size again in 2014. In 2021, the competition rebranded as the Five Nations Roller Derby Championships. 2015 Championships In 2015, the tournament partnered with the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA) and was renamed as the British Roller Derby Championships.Katy Gordon,UKRDA's role in British Championships, UKRDA, 26 November 2014. Central City Rollergirls
Central City Roller Derby (CCR) was a women's flat track roller derby league based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Founded in 2007, the league was a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and played under the WFTDA ruleset. League history A group of girls who already had some skating experience first set up an informal practice in November 2007. The Men's Roller Derby Association (MRDA) is the international governing body of men's flat track roller derby. It was founded in 2007 under the name Men's Derby Coalition (renamed to Men's Roller Derby Association in 2011), and currently has 59 open gender leagues under its jurisdiction. Women's Flat Track Derby Association
The Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is the international governing body for the sport of women's flat track roller derby, and association of leagues around the world. The organization was founded in April 2004 as the United Leagues Coalition (ULC), but was renamed in November 2005. It is registered in Raleigh, North Carolina as a 501(c)(6) business league organization, a type of nonprofit organization. The primary owners, managers, and operators of each member league and of the association are women skaters, although this does not preclude any particular business structure (leagues don't have to be legally incorporated or internally egalitarian).
