First Djumhana Cabinet
The First Djumhana Cabinet ( id, Kabinet Djumhana I) was the second cabinet established by the State of Pasundan. It was composed of nine ministers and one official. Its term of office ran from 10 to 31 January 1949. Background After the resignation of the Adil Cabinet on 19 December 1948, the prime minister of Netherlands, Willem Drees, held a visitation to Indonesia. The visitation was meant to discuss the formation of a federal interim government of Indonesia. The plan was to hold a conference in Jakarta in January 1949, on which the newly formed cabinet, led by Adil Puradiredja, would attend. The plan failed, as the Dutch failed to pressure the Parliament of Pasundan to reelect Adil. In response to the failure of the plan, the commander of the Dutch forces in Indonesia Simon Spoor, and the High Commissioner of the Crown in the State of Pasundan R.W. van Diffelen went to Wiranatakusumah, the ''Wali Negara'' (head of state) of Pasundan. Djumhana Wiriaatmadja
Djumhana Wiriaatmadja ( EYD: Jumhana Wiriaatmaja, 23 February 1904 – 20 January 1975) was a Sundanese aristocrat, regent, politician, and diplomat. Born in Cianjur, Djumhana entered law after finished studying in the Rechthogeschool. He began to work as a seconded employee in the district court of Bandung, and later became the regent of Pandeglang. After Indonesia's independence, he was appointed as the cabinet formateur of the State of Pasundan on 28 December 1948 by Wiranatakusumah V, officially being sworn in on 10 January 1949. After the dissolution of the state, he was appointed by the Indonesian government as the ambassador to the Netherlands, Holy See, and Afghanistan. Louis Joseph Maria Beel (12 April 1902 – 11 February 1977) was a Dutch politician of the defunct Roman Catholic State Party (RKSP) and later co-founder of the Catholic People's Party (KVP) now the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party and jurist who served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 3 July 1946 until 7 August 1948 and from 22 December 1958 until 19 May 1959.
