''Finally'' is the debut studio album by Swedish singer Velvet first released on March 20, 2006 on Bonnier Amigo. ''Finally'' peaked at #46 in the Swedish charts and dropped off the chart after just one week. Singles * Velvet's debut single ''"Rock Down To (Electric Avenue)"'' peaked at #6 in the Swedish charts and achieved the #1 spot on Sweden's dance chart. Sten Hallström, also known by his stage name StoneBridge, is a Swedish DJ and record producer. He received international acclaim with the remix of the 1993 hit " Show Me Love" with Robin S. and his remix for " Closer" by Ne-Yo which received a 2008 Grammy nomination. Melodifestivalen 2006 was the selection for the 46th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 45th time that this system of picking a song had been used. Five heats had taken place to select the ten songs for the final, in Leksand, Karlstad, Karlskrona, Gothenburg and a Second Chance round in Stockholm. The final was broadcast on SVT1 and Sveriges Radio's P4 network. Carola Häggkvist was the clear favourite to win the final, with bookmakers making her the favourite and an ''Aftonbladet'' web poll showing her to have a clear margin over the other participants. Jenny Marielle Pettersson (born 5 November 1975, Helsingborg, Sweden), professionally known as Velvet, is a Swedish dance-pop singer. She has released two albums since her 2005 debut in the music industry and her first eight singles have all achieved a top-twenty peak on the Swedish Singles Chart. Early life Velvet moved from Helsingborg to Stockholm in 1993 to study ballet at Balettakademien. She soon took singing lessons at a dance school where she "got a voice". She worked at Wallmans cabaret where she discovered that singing was what she really wanted to do. She then toured for eight years as a choir singer and dancer to major artists such as Lena PH, Markoolio, Carola, Sanne Salomonsen, Orup, Meat Loaf, Martin Stenmarck and Jessica Folcker.
