Fidelity is the quality of faithfulness or loyalty. Its original meaning regarded duty in a broader sense than the related concept of ''fealty''. Both derive from the Latin word ''fidēlis'', meaning "faithful or loyal". In the City of London financial markets it has traditionally been used in the sense encompassed in the motto "My word is my bond". Audio and electronics In audio, "fidelity" denotes how accurately a copy reproduces its source. Fidelis Manuel Leite Magalhães is an East Timorese political economist, public policy specialist and politician, and a member of the People's Liberation Party (PLP). From May 2020 to July 2023, he was the President of the Council of Ministers, serving in the VIII Constitutional Government of East Timor led by Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak. Fidelis Oyakhilome (born 13 April 1939) was Nigerian military governor of Rivers State from January 1984 until August 1986 during the administrations of Generals Muhammadu Buhari and Ibrahim Babangida. Fidelis Oditah KC, SAN (born 1964) is a Nigerian barrister and an authority on insolvency law. He served as President of the Nigerian Branch of the International Law Association from 2014-2023. Oditah was born in Nigeria. At the age of twenty he graduated from the University of Lagos with a first-class degree in law and twelve of the thirteen available prizes (1984). The following year, he graduated with the highest first-class honours awarded that year by the Nigerian Law School (1985). Fidelis Ndyabagye
Fidelis Ndyabagye (born February 24, 1950) is a Ugandan athlete. He represented Uganda at the 1980 Olympics in the long jump. He also competed at the 1978 All-Africa Games where he won the silver medal in the long jump and set the still current Ugandan national record at 7.75 meters. After the Olympics he attended the University of New Mexico. He won the Western Athletic Conference 1982, 1984 and 1985 Indoor Championships and the 1985 Outdoor championships. By the time of his 1985 championship, he was 35 years old. How he managed to pass the strict NCAA eligibility requirements at that age is not explained. His winning jump of at his home stadium in Albuquerque would not only be a new national record, but a masters M35 World Record. The Uganda Athletics Federation does not list the mark as a record, the WAC and University show the mark.
