Fidelis Uzochukwu Okafor
Professor Fidelis Uzochukwu Okafor is an academic and is the current substantive vice chancellor of Anambra State University located in Uli, a town in Nigeria. He was appointed by the governor of Anambra State. Early life and education Born in 1950 at Onitsha, Okafor had his G.C.E at All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha in 1972. He had his B.A at Urban University, Rome in 1976. He had his Masters (1980) and PhD (1982) in Urban University, and Gregorian University in Rome . Anambra State University
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University formerly Anambra State University is a Nigerian tertiary institution located in Uli, a town in Anambra State. History The university was established by law No. 13 of 2000 by the Anambra State Government and has a two-campus structure. The main campus of the university is located at Uli, in the former site of the Ekwenugo Okeke Polytechnic, formally called Anambra State Polytechnic. The second campus is located at Igbariam in the former site of the College of Agriculture. The law establishing the university phased out the State Polytechnic and the university inherited its assets and liabilities. On the other hand, the university law failed to repeal the Edict establishing the College of Agriculture, Igbariam, hence, legally the university and the college existed side by side at the Igbariam Campus site, until 2006 when the government relocated the College of Agriculture to Mgbakwu, about fifteen kilometers away from Igbariam. Anambra State
Anambra State is a Nigerian state, located in the southeastern region of the country. The state was created on August 27, 1991. Anambra state is bounded by Delta State to the west, Imo State to the south, Enugu State to the east and Kogi State to the north. According to the 2022 census report, there are over 9 million residents in the state. The state name was formed in 1976 from the former East Central State. The state is named after Omambala River, a river that runs through the state. Anambra is the Anglicized name of the Omambala River, Omambala.
