Fidelis Okoro
Fidelis C. Okoro is a Nigerian politician who was Senator for the Enugu North Senatorial District of Enugu State at the start of the Nigerian Fourth Republic, running on the Alliance for Democracy (AD) platform. He took office on 29 May 1999. After taking his seat in the Senate in June 1999, Okoro was appointed to committees on Senate Services, Industries (chairman), Police Affairs, Agriculture and Niger Delta. He changed allegiance to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and became an ally of Governor Chimaroke Nnamani. Ike Ekweremadu (born 12 May 1962) is a Nigerian politician and lawyer from Enugu State who has served in the Senate of Nigeria since May 2003. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party, and was the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate for three (3) consecutive (6th, 7th and 8th) senate. He was elected Governor of Enugu State in the 1999 Enugu State gubernatorial election from 1999 to 2007.
