Ferenc Helbing
Ferenc Helbing (25 December 1870 – 28 January 1958) was a Hungarians, Hungarian graphic artist and painter. Helbing was born in Érsekújvár, Kingdom of Hungary (today Nové Zámky, Slovakia). He started his career as a Lithography, lithographer. After studying applied graphics and applied arts, he became a printing manager. He taught at the College of Applied Graphics (from 1906) then at the College of Applied Arts (from 1910); he managed the latter until 1936. He made a pioneer work in the field of the Hungarian Commercial art, commercial graphics. He was the designer of many Hungarian banknotes. He also created posters, stamps, illustrations for books, glass paintings and murals (e.g. at the Lillafüred#Palace Hotel .28Palotasz.C3.A1ll.C3.B3.29, Palace Hotel (Palotaszálló) in Lillafüred) and won a number of prizes in applied arts and graphics competitions. The Hungarian korona (Hungarian: ''magyar korona''; ''korona'' in English is "crown") was the replacement currency of the Austro-Hungarian Krone/korona amongst the boundaries of the newly created post-World War I Hungary. It suffered a serious inflation and was replaced by the pengő on 1 January 1927. Introduction According to the Treaty of Trianon and other treaties regulating the situation of countries emerging from the ruins of the dissolved Austro-Hungarian Empire, the former banknotes had to be overstamped by the new states and - after a given transition-period - replaced by a new currency. In the case of Hungary, this currency was the korona, which replaced its Austro-Hungarian counterpart at par. Lillafüred (Miskolc-Lillafüred) is a town in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, Hungary. Officially, it is a part of Miskolc, though it is almost 12 kilometres away from the city, in the Bükk Mountains. Lillafüred is a tourist resort. History Count András Bethlen, the minister of agriculture, decided in the 1890s to build a holiday resort near Lake Hámori.
