Favoritner AC Wien
The Favoritner Athletik Club, or FavAC for short, is an Austrian football club from the Viennese Favoriten district and currently plays under the sponsored name ''Cashpoint FavAC'' in the fourth tier, the Viennese City League. The club's popularity drastically rose during their two-year spell in the top division between 1983 and 1985. Their colours are red and black. It should not be confused with Favoritner Sports Club, a club that was active in the highest Austrian league several years before, nor with Favoritner SK Blau-Weiß which also played in the top division. History The club was founded in 1910 as the football section of the bowling club ''Kegelklub Favorit'' as ''Favorit Athletic Club''. Favoriten (; Central Bavarian: ''Favoritn''), the 10th district of Vienna, Austria (german: 10. Bezirk, Favoriten), is located south of the central districts. It is south of Innere Stadt, Wieden and Margareten. Favoriten is a heavily populated urban area with many residential buildings, but also large recreational areas and parks. Dietmar "Didi" Constantini (born 30 May 1955) is an Austrian football manager and former player. He was appointed as head coach of the Austria national team in March 2009 and was replaced by Marcel Koller in October 2011. Gerhard Bronner
Gerhard Bronner (23 October 1922 in Favoriten, Vienna – 19 January 2007 in Vienna) was an Austrian composer, writer, musician and a cabaret artist, known for his contribution to Austrian culture in the post-World War II period. Life Born to a Jewish family, his parents and elder brothers were detained in Dachau concentration camp after Germany had invaded Austria. Bronner fled from occupied Austria to Czechoslovakia and later to Palestine, where he started his musical career. In 1948 he returned to Vienna and originally had planned to stay only for a few weeks and then to move on to London. But he chose Vienna as his permanent residence after having been offered a chance to work there. Bronner took over a dubious night-club called "Marietta-Bar" which he transformed into a small theater. Peter Stöger
Peter Stöger (; born 11 April 1966) is an Austrian football coach and a former player. As a player Stöger won the Austrian championship 4 times, the cup 3 times. As a coach or sporting director Stöger won the Austrian championship 2 times and the cup 2 times, also won the promotion with 1. FC Köln, with 4 years his longest stint. Club career Stöger started his career at Favoritner AC Wien, and played six years for FK Austria Wien from 1988 through 1994, winning the league three years in a row, with players like Ralph Hasenhüttl. After a year at FC Tirol Innsbruck, he joined SK Rapid Wien in 1995 and won a league title with them. He also played in the 1996 UEFA Cup Winners Cup Final against Paris St Germain in Brussels, which Rapid lost. Fred Schaub
Fred Schaub (28 August 1960 – 22 April 2003) was a German professional football played as a forward. He is best remembered for scoring the winning goal for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 1979–80 UEFA Cup final. The 17-year-old Schaub joined German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt at the beginning of the 1978–79 season. He stayed with the club until the winter break of the 1980–81 season. Though a promising talent, he never lived fully up to expectations, and appeared in only 21 league matches for the "Eagles", in which he scored three goals. However, his goal engraved him forever in the club's history. Robert Sara (born 9 June 1946) is an Austrian former professional footballer who played as a defender. His younger brother Josef was also a footballer. Club career Sara was bornborn in Oberlainsitz, near St. Martin im Waldviertel. He became a club legend at Austria Wien, after staying 20 years at the club and winning major silverware with them. He started his professional career at 19 and won nine league titles, 6 domestic cups and played in the 1978 Cup Winner's Cup Final which they lost 4–0 against Anderlecht. Johann "Hans" Pirkner (born 25 March 1946, in Vienna) is a former Austrian football forward. Club career Pirkner played for several clubs, including Schalke 04 (1969–1971), Austria Wien (1974–1978) and First Vienna FC. Andreas Ogris (born 7 October 1964) is an Austrian football manager and former player. He is the older brother of former Austrian international and Hertha BSC player Ernst Ogris.
