Fattaneh Haj Seyed Javadi
Fattaneh Haj Seyed Javadi ( fa, فتانه حاجسیدجوادی, also Romanized as “Fattāne(h) Hāj-Seyyed-Javādī”; born 1945) is a best selling Iranian novelist. Born in Kazerun, Seyed Javadi studied in Tehran and Isfahan, after which she taught for many years. At the beginning of the 1990s she translated Jeffrey Archer's Kane and Abel. Her first novel, ''The Morning of the Hangover'' published in German as ''Der Morgen der Trunkenheit'' was a bestseller in Iran for four years running and was in its 29th printing in 2002. She went on to write a collection of short stories: ''In der Abgeschiedenheit des Schlafs'' (In the Lonesomeness of Sleep). ''The Morning of the Hangover'' tells the story of an aristocratic woman who marries a carpenter to defy her family and its publication was a turning point for women writers. Romanization
Romanization or romanisation, in linguistics, is the conversion of text from a different writing system to the Roman (Latin) script, or a system for doing so. The Iranian peoples or Iranic peoples are a diverse grouping of Indo-European peoples who are identified by their usage of the Iranian languages and other cultural similarities. The Proto-Iranians are believed to have emerged as a separate branch of the Indo-Iranians in Central Asia around the mid-2nd millennium BC. Kazerun
Kazeroon ( fa, کازرون, also Romanized as Kāzerūn, Kāzeroūn, and Kazeroon; also known as Kasrun) is a city and capital of Kazeroon County, Fars Province, Iran. In 2016, as the fifth big city in the province, its population was 96,683. Its agricultural products include date palms, citrus orchards, wheat, tobacco, rice, cotton, and vines. The nearby ruins of the ancient city of Bishapur N., include bas-relief depictions from the Sasanid era (ca. 224–651). A statue of Shapur I (AD 241–272) can be found in a large cave at the site. Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. Jeffrey Archer
Jeffrey Howard Archer, Baron Archer of Weston-super-Mare (born 15 April 1940) is an English novelist, life peer, convicted criminal, and former politician. Before becoming an author, Archer was a Member of Parliament (1969–1974), but did not seek re-election after a financial scandal that left him almost bankrupt. Archer revived his fortunes as a novelist. His 1979 novel ''Kane and Abel'' remains one of the best-selling books in the world, with an estimated 34 million copies sold worldwide. Iranian Revolution
The Iranian Revolution ( fa, انقلاب ایران, Enqelâb-e Irân, ), also known as the Islamic Revolution ( fa, انقلاب اسلامی, Enqelâb-e Eslâmī), was a series of events that culminated in the overthrow of the Pahlavi dynasty under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and the replacement of his government with an Islamic republic under the rule of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, a leader of one of the factions in the revolt.
