Farzaneh Fasihi
Farzaneh Fasihi ( fa, فرزانه فصیحی, also as "Farzāneh Fasihi", ; born 1993 in Isfahan) is an Iranian sprinter. She represented her country at more than 10 competitions both outdoor and indoor Asian Athletics Championships. Fasihi is the Iranian record holder of the 60 metres indoor with 7.25 seconds. Sporting career Farzaneh Fasihi's first international experience was at the 2016 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Doha, where she finished her competition as 5th in 60 m and in 4 x 400 m relay achieving silver medal. In 2017, she participated in the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku and reached over semi-finals in 100 m. In 2018, she participated in Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Tehran, where she won the bronze medal in the 60 m with a 7.44 seconds record. Athletics At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's 100 Metres
The women's 100 metres event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 30 and 31 July 2021 at the Japan National Stadium. 71 athletes from 55 nations competed at the event. The defending champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah, won the event in 10.61 secs, to break Florence Griffith-Joyner's 33-year-old Olympic record. This was her third Olympic gold medal. Islamic Solidarity Games
The Islamic Solidarity Games ( ar, ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي) is a multinational, multi-sport event. The Games involve the elite athletes of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation who compete in a variety of sports. The Solidarity Games were initially created to strengthen Islamic camaraderie and reinforce the values of Islam, primarily to the youth. The Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF) and the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the organization that is responsible for the direction and control of the Islamic Solidarity Games. The ISSF strives to improve Islamic solidarity, promote Islamic identity in sports and help reduce discrimination toward Muslims. Athletics At The 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games
The athletics competition at the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games was held in Konya, Turkey from 8 to 12 August 2022 in Konya Athletic Field. The Para Athletics competitions will be held in Konya Athletic Field on 11 August 2022. Countries can compete with a maximum of 2 athletes in each disability class (T46/T47 & T53/T54) in Para Athletics competitions. 2020 World Athletics Indoor Championships
The 20th World Athletics Indoor Championships is re-scheduled to be held from 21 to 23 March 2025 in Nanjing, People's Republic of China at the newly built Nanjing's Cube gymnasium in the Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park. This would be the city's first hosting of the event although it staged the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games. Nanjing was originally due to host an edition of the World Athletics Indoor Championships in 2020, then in 2021, and then again in 2023, with all these dates having to be postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic regulations in China. The 2022 edition took place in Belgrade, Serbia and the 2024 edition will be held in Glasgow, United Kingdom. 60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The sprinters follow three initial instructions: 'ready', instructing them to take up position in the starting blocks; 'set', instructing them to adopt a more efficient starting posture, which also isometrically preloads their muscles.
