''Farende folk'' (Traveling Folk) is a Norwegian silent film from 1922, directed by Amund Rydland. The screenplay was written by Rydland and the actor Martin Gisti, and it is based on Severin Lieblein's 1910 novel . The film is available for free at the website of the National Library of Norway. Amund Rydland
Amund Rydland (25 November 1888 – 16 February 1967) was a Norwegian stage and film actor and theatre director. Born in the village of Alversund, Lindås municipality in Hordaland, he made his stage debut at Det Norske Teatret in 1913, and served as the theatre's director from 1916 to 1922. He was best known for his comedy characters. Tore Segelcke
Tore Dyveke Segelcke (23 April 1901 – 22 September 1979) was a Norwegian actress. Biography Tore Løkkeberg was born at Fredrikstad in Østfold, Norway. Her parents were Georg Løkkeberg (1872–1951) and Hulda Marie Hansen (1878–1941). She was the sister of actor Georg Løkkeberg (1909–1986). She made her debut in 1921 touring with Det Norske Teatret where she was based until 1924. From then on she worked with Det Frie Teater, and then joined the Den Nationale Scene. In 1928 she went to Nationaltheatret, where she stayed until 1972, apart from two years (1933-35) at Det Nye Teater. In her time, she was one of Nationaltheatret's leading actresses in both classical and modern dramatics. She took a total of 104 roles at Nationaltheateret. Ragnhild Fjermeros Hald (November 9, 1896 – July 17, 1975) was a Norwegian actress. After attending high school from 1910 to 1913, she studied under Inga Jacobi. She was then engaged with the Norwegian Theater from 1919 to 1952, as well as the National Theater from 1930 to 1933, and finally with the People's Theater from 1952 onward. Martin Gisti (December 9, 1889 – January 18, 1971) was a Norwegian actor. He made his film debut in '' Kaksen paa Øverland'' in 1920. Together with Amund Rydland, he wrote the script for the 1922 film '' Farende folk''. Nils Hald
Nils Mauritz Hald (October 12, 1897 – July 14, 1963) was a Norwegian actor. Hald was born in Kristiansand, Norway, the son of the bookbinder Johan Christian Thor Hald (1865–1902) and Karen Marie Gundersen (1864–1944). He was married to the actress Ragnhild Hald from 1922 to 1938. Hald made his film debut in Rasmus Breistein's 1921 film ''Felix''. A year later he appeared in '' Farende folk'', but then did not appear in any further films until 1936. He then appeared in a number of other roles until 1961. Hald was also engaged with the Norwegian Theater in the 1940s and 1950s.
