Amund Rydland
Amund Rydland (25 November 1888 – 16 February 1967) was a Norwegian stage and film actor and theatre director. Born in the village of Alversund, Lindås municipality in Hordaland, he made his stage debut at Det Norske Teatret in 1913, and served as the theatre's director from 1916 to 1922. He was best known for his comedy characters. Alversund
Alversund is a village in Alver municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the mainland of the Lindås peninsula, along the shore of the Alverstraumen strait. The village sits between the villages of Alverstraumen (across the strait) and Alver (to the south), forming a large village area that is often referred to as Alversund. The Alversund Bridge spans the Alverstraumen strait between Alversund and the village area of Alverstraumen located on the southern tip of the island of Radøy, creating a vital connection between Radøy and the mainland. In Alversund there is a primary school counting 400 pupils. Alversund Church (''Alversund kyrkje'') dates from 1879 and it is located in the village, along the main road. Edvard Drabløs (1 April 1883 – 29 April 1976) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director. Biography Drabløs was born at Sykkylven in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. He was the son of Jens Helgesen Drabløs (1856–1925) and Olave Velle (1852–1917). He worked most of his professional career at Det Norske Teatret, from 1912. Ingjald Haaland
Ingjald Haaland (22 March 1885 – 28 July 1952) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director. Biography Haaland was born at Hålandsdal in Hordaland, Norway. He was the son of Sjur Haaland (1851–1912) and Brita Teigland (1855–1945). He was a student at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen from 1906. He made his stage debut at Dore Lavik's touring theatre in 1908. He was a member of the ensemble at Det Norske Teatret from its start in 1913, and served as theatre director from 1922 to 1933. He also performed at the Vestlandske Theater in Stavanger for a few years. When Det Norske Teatret was established in Oslo in 1913, he became employed there. He was theatre director from 1922 and stayed at Det Norske Teatret until 1940. He also appeared in several movies including works by filmmaker Olav Dalgard including ''Samhold må til'' from 1935. ''Ugler i mosen'' is a 1959 Norwegian mystery and adventure family film directed by Ivo Caprino. The title, which literally means 'Owls in the Moss', is based on the idiom ''det er ugler i mosen'' 'I smell a rat; there is mischief afoot'. The film was written by Caprino as an adaptation of Finn Havrevold's children's book '' Marens lille ugle'' (Maren's Little Owl). The leading role was played by 12-year-old Grethe Nilsen, and the film also featured Sverre Hansen, Turid Balke, Kjetil Bang-Hansen, Egil Hjorth-Jenssen and Aud Schønemann.
