FV Dresden 06 is a German association football club from Dresden, Saxony. History The club was established in May 1906 as ''Sportverein Pretoria Dresden''. They soon changed their name to ''Fußball Klub Habsburg Dresden'' before becoming ''Dresden SV 06'' in 1914. The club earned its biggest honours to date in 1920 when they won the Gau Ostsachsen (East Saxony) championship. The NOFV-Oberliga Süd is the fifth tier of the German football league system in the southern states of the former East Germany.
