FMA Architects Ltd is an international architecture, planning and interior design firm headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. History Olufemi Majekodunmi established FMA Architects Ltd in 1973 as Femi Majekodunmi Associates. The firm is one of the foremost architectural firms in Nigeria. It was initially located at Odunlami Street before moving to St Nicholas Building, Lagos Island. Since then, it has expanded and grown its services most especially in Nigeria. The firm has diversified into various forms of architecture, design and construction in projects with the Nigerian government and corporate institutions. Botswana Police College
The Botswana Police College is located in Otse in the South-East District, Botswana, South East District. An ultra-modern new college campus for meeting the training needs of the Botswana Police Service was designed by FMA Architects Ltd (Canadian Architect - Samuel Oboh - was a resident Architect on this project), constructed by Stocks Building Africa and completed in 2000 at a cost of 230 million Pula. The police college shares its campus with the International Law Enforcement Academies' Gaborone academy, known as ILEA Gaborone. Olufemi Majekodunmi
Olufemi Adetokunbo Majekodunmi (born 1 May 1940) is a United Kingdom, British-Nigerian architect. Early life and education Olufemi was born on 1 May 1940 in London, England to Moses Majekodunmi and Tomi Agbebi. However, he grew up in Nigeria and attended St Gregory's College, Lagos He later returned to the United Kingdom to study architecture at the Glasgow School of Art, Kingston College of Art (now Kingston University) and graduated in 1966. Career After graduation, Femi worked for some years with firms in Washington, D.C. Afterwards, he returned to Nigeria and worked with Godwin and Hopwood Architects, Lagos before establishing his architectural firm, then Femi Majekodunmi Associates, now FMA Architects Ltd, in Nigeria in 1973. Lagos Island
Lagos Island (''Ìsàlẹ̀ Èkó'') is the principal and central local government area (LGA) in Lagos, it was the capital of Lagos State until 1957. It is part of the Lagos Division. As of the preliminary 2006 Nigerian census, the LGA had a population of 209,437 in an area of 8.7 km2. The LGA only covers the western half of Lagos Island; the eastern half is simply referred to as Lagos Island East LCDA.
