FC Skala Stryi (1911)
FC Skala 1911 Stryi was a Ukrainian football team. The team is based in Stryi, Ukraine. History Over the years there were several clubs connected with Skala Stryi starting from 1911. Club of Austria-Hungary and Poland The first recorded match in Stryi was at times of Austria-Hungary, so called Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria on 29 June 1906 when a team of Stryj gymnasium (high school) lost to a team from Lemberg (Lviv). It was renamed as ''Hazovyk-Khurtovyna'' adding a name of the former Ukrainian club that existed in Komarno prior to the Soviet invasion of Halychyna in 1939. In 2004 this team under the name of FC Hazovyk-Skala Stryi won the Druha Liha Group A championship and was promoted to the Ukrainian First League. Then the team became financially distressed after the 2005/06 season and was bought by the Ukrainian insurance company "Kniazha". Stryi City Stadium "Sokil" is a multi-use stadium in Stryi, Ukraine. It is currently used mostly for Association football, football matches, and is the home of FC Skala Stryi (1911), FC Skala Stryi. 1991 Soviet Second League B
1991 Soviet Lower Second League was the second and the last season of the Soviet Second League B since its reestablishing in 1990. The league was divided into 10 zones (groups) with 217 participants. At least four out those 10 zones were part of republican championships. Among those republics were Ukrainian SSR, Armenian SSR, Azerbaijani SSR, and Kazakh SSR. Five more zones were dominated majorly by clubs of the Russian SFSR and one more zone was a collective competition among clubs of the Central Asia less the Kazakh SSR. Four former Soviet republics that technically were still part of the Soviet Union conducted separate competitions. Among those republics were Baltic republics Estonian SSR, Latvian SSR, and Lithuanian SSR as well as Georgian SSR. The Persha Liha ( uk, Перша ліга) or Ukrainian First League is a professional football league in Ukraine and the second tier of national football competitions pyramid. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. It is the highest division of Professional Football League.
