FC Košice is a Slovakia, Slovak association football club based in Košice, that currently plays in the 2. Liga (Slovakia), 2. Liga, the second tier of Slovak football. FC Košice was founded in 2018. They merged into a new club with FK Košice-Barca. Košická Futbalová Aréna
Košická futbalová aréna (KFA) is a Association football, football stadium in Košice, Slovakia. It is the home ground of a local club FC Košice (2018), FC Košice and now has an all-seated capacity of 5,836 people, though it is being further increased to 12,350. History The stadium replaced old stadium Všešportový areál, which was demolished in 2011. The construction is divided into three phases. First phase was started in 2018 and finished in 2021 with two stands and capacity 5,836 seats. The second and third phases, with another two stands, aimed to be finished in 2022 and would bring the total capacity of the ground to 12,658 and help it achieve UEFA's 4 stars standard. Erik Pačinda (born 9 May 1989) is a Slovak international football player who currently plays for FC Košice as a forward or a winger. Club career Pačinda previously played for DAC Dunajská Streda, Košice or Viktoria Plzeň. International career Pačinda was first called up to the national team on 13 March 2018, when he was nominated for two fixtures at 2018 King's Cup by his former coach at Košice, Ján Kozák. Although he was benched for the first game against UAE (2–1 win), on 25 March 2018 he made his international debut against Thailand. 2021–22 Slovak Cup
The 2021–22 Slovak Cup was the 53rd edition of the competition. Slovan Bratislava were the defending champions, defeating Žilina in the 2021 final. Slovan Bratislava managed to advance to the final again, but were defeated by their rivals Spartak Trnava. Spartak Trnava earned automatic qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round. Format The Slovak Cup is played as a knockout tournament. All matches that end up as a draw after 90 minutes are decided by penalty shoot-outs. All rounds are played as one-off matches except the semi-finals, which are played over two legs. The 2020–21 Slovak Cup was the 52nd edition of the competition. The tournament began on 25 July 2020 and the final was played on 19 May 2021. Slovan Bratislava were the defending champions, defeating Ružomberok in the 2020 final. Slovan won a second consecutive title, defeating Žilina in the final. The winner of the Slovak Cup earned automatic qualification for the second qualifying round in UEFA Europa Conference League. As Slovan had already qualified for the 2021–22 UEFA Champions League as league champion, the spot was decided by the Europa Conference League play-offs, which was eventually won by Žilina.
