2021–22 Slovak Cup
The 2021–22 Slovak Cup was the 53rd edition of the competition. Slovan Bratislava were the defending champions, defeating Žilina in the 2021 final. Slovan Bratislava managed to advance to the final again, but were defeated by their rivals Spartak Trnava. Spartak Trnava earned automatic qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round. Format The Slovak Cup is played as a knockout tournament. All matches that end up as a draw after 90 minutes are decided by penalty shoot-outs. All rounds are played as one-off matches except the semi-finals, which are played over two legs. FC Spartak Trnava () is a Slovak professional Association football, football club based in Trnava. Historically, it is one of the most successful clubs in the country, having won the Czechoslovak First League five times and the Czechoslovak Cup on four occasions, and reaching the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League, European Cup once and the quarter-final twice. Štadión Sihoť
Štadión na Sihoti is a multi-use stadium in Trenčín, Slovakia. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of AS Trenčín. The stadium holds 10,000 people. The ground was built in 1960 and since then has undergone several renovations. History The stadium was built in the 1960s and used for football matches of AS Trenčín sport club. The original capacity was over 22,000, mostly for standing spectators. Due to disrepair, the capacity was decreased to 16,000 then to 4,500 in 2008. Renovations began in 2014 to increase the capacity to 10,000. New arena Between 2017 and 2021, the current stadium will be replaced by new modern all-sitting arena with a capacity of around 11,500 spectators. Trnava
Trnava (, german: Tyrnau; hu, Nagyszombat, also known by other alternative names) is a city in western Slovakia, to the northeast of Bratislava, on the Trnávka river. Anton Malatinský Stadium
Anton Malatinský Stadium ( sk, Štadión Antona Malatinského) is a football stadium located in Trnava, Slovakia, which is the home ground of the local football club Spartak Trnava. The stadium was completely renovated in 2013–2015 and has an all-seated capacity of 19,200 which makes it the second-largest football stadium in Slovakia. On 14 January 1998, the stadium was named in the honour of former footballer and manager Anton Malatinský, who died in 1992. 2013–2015 reconstruction Stadium underwent a complex reconstruction in 2013–2015. The project consisted not only of complete reconstruction of the stadium, but also building the adjacent shopping centre named City Arena. Petr Pavlík (born 22 July 1987) is a Czech professional football who plays as a centre back. Career Pohronie Pavlík's signing with Pohronie was announced on in January 2020. His transfer was requested by his former coach Mikuláš Radványi, with whom he had a spell with Spartak Myjava. He arrived on a half-season loan from Zbrojovka Brno. Pavlík was featured frequently in winter preparatory friendly games. He made his competitive debut for Pohronie in Fortuna Liga on 15 February 2020 in a match against Nitra at pod Zoborom.
