Everybody's Golf
''Everybody's Golf'', known in Japan as and formerly known as ''Hot Shots Golf'' in North America, is a series of golf video games published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation series of video game consoles. The series has a humorous take on the game of golf that includes cartoon-like and anime-like characters and modes such as miniature golf paired with a realistic engine and precise ball physics. Seven main games in the series have been published between 1997 and 2017 for every home console in the PlayStation brand, excluding the PlayStation 5. Another four spin-off editions (which include a similarly themed tennis game and various portable console versions) have been published for PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita platforms. The most recent title in the series is '' Everybody's Golf'', released in August 2017. As of March 2017, the series had sold more than 14 million copies worldwide. Anime
is hand-drawn and computer-generated animation originating from Japan. Outside of Japan and in English, ''anime'' refers specifically to animation produced in Japan. Everybody's Golf 5
, known in the PAL region as ''Everybody's Golf: World Tour'', and in North America as ''Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds'', is the seventh game in the ''Everybody's Golf'' series and the first game released for the PlayStation 3. It was released in Japan on 26 July 2007 to make the 10th anniversary of the series debut on the PlayStation. Additionally, the game was sold in bundle deals with the PlayStation 3 in Japan. A demo was made available on the Japanese PlayStation Network in May 2007. The European localized demo was made available on the Australian PlayStation Network on 14 February 2008. The demo arrived in North America later on 26 June. The North American release has mild censorship, replacing the panties of the female players with biking shorts. ''Everybody's Tennis'', known as ''Hot Shots Tennis'' in North America and in Japan as , is a sports video game developed by Clap Hanz and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the sixth game in the ''Everybody's Golf'' series and the third released for PlayStation 2. In September 2016, the game was ported to PlayStation 4 via the ''PS2 Classics'' service. Gameplay The game has 14 characters, 5 umpires, and 11 tennis courts. There are 3 different modes to choose from, which are Challenge Mode, Tennis with Everybody, and Training Mode. In Challenge, you play against computer-controlled opponents in order to unlock things like alternate costumes for characters and more courts to play on. In Tennis with Everybody, you can play matches with 1 to 4 players. The training mode lets you practice positioning and timing shots. , known in the PAL region as ''Everybody's Golf'' (''Everybody's Golf 2004'' in Australia), and in North America as ''Hot Shots Golf Fore!'', is the fourth game in the ''Everybody's Golf'' series and the second released for PlayStation 2. Features This game delivers more realistic physics, sharper graphics, more golfers, caddies and courses than before. Miniature golf games and online play for players with the Network Adaptor are also driving features. The developers increased the overall number of characters from 15 to 24, added more caddies (10 in all) and boosted the number of courses from six to 15. Metacritic is a website that aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review. Before being averaged, the scores are weighted according to a critic's popularity, stature, and volume of reviews. The website won two Webby Awards for excellence as an aggregation website. GameRankings was a video gaming review aggregator that was founded in 1999 and owned by CBS Interactive. It indexed over 315,000 articles relating to more than 14,500 video games. GameRankings was discontinued in December 2019, with its staff being merged with the similar aggregator Metacritic. Rankings GameRankings collected and linked to (but did not host) reviews from other websites and magazines and averages specific ones. While hundreds of reviews may get listed, only the ones that GameRankings deemed notable were used for the average. Scores were culled from numerous American and European sources. The site used a percentage grade for all reviews in order to be able to calculate an average. However, because not all sites use the same scoring system (some rate out of 5 or 10, while others use a letter grade), GameRankings changed all other types of scores into percentages using a relatively straightforward conversion process. ''Everybody's Golf'' is a sports video game developed by Clap Hanz and Japan Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. It is the twelfth game in the ''Everybody's Golf'' video game series, and was released worldwide in August 2017. Gameplay The game features character creation and customization, online play and the ability to free roam around the game's golf courses. Players are also able to drive golf carts anywhere around the course. Development and release The game was revealed at a press briefing prior to the Tokyo Game Show in September 2014, with a planned release in 2015.
